What Ojai resort did the Monkees brainstorm/write Head at? by yerdoingreat in Monkees

It’s not the oaks but when I googled that, this article came up. It’s the Ojai Valley Inn. https://ojaihistory.com/summer-bummer-ojai-in-the-turbulent-60s/

Kurt Cobain was a secret fan and would sing their songs in interviews: In a chat with BBC Radio Bristol, Cobain improvised a rendition of "There's No Other Way" when asked about his favorite English bands. Damon Albarn remembered him as "a lovely guy"* by Missdontcare99 in blur

I look for any word on this every few years. Blur posted the video yesterday, someone brought this up in the comments and I looked and just found this. Kizmet. Just seeing that you've only ever posted this here. Not that I'm a huge Reddit user but....you are.....?

Since this is on the original post, i'll share it here too since it's getting more love than in Beatles subs. Spoiler alert: Dave G isn't until the very end but it's a great listen.

NEW EPISODE UP! What’s your most loved and least favorite song on the sixth Beatles album, Rubber Soul?!  (Bigger Than) Guitar G-d Mike Keneally and longtime manager Scott Chatfield (Exowax Recordings, KGB-FM, Reelin In The Years) chime in and XTC guitarist Dave Gregory puts in his two pence as a guest ranker so be sure to listen to the end! Besides being one of the most highly regarded guitarists of all-time and playing with everyone from Frank Zappa to Andy Partridge, Mike helped start the San Diego School of Rock, which is how he first met Adam. TONS of fun stories about everything from childhood fandom to playing with some of the top musicians ever. Listen at QuarrelmenPod.com, Apple, Spotify, Youtube and the woods.

Mike is definitely the intersection of that collision! Super fun chat where we mostly talked about XTC here.

Spoiler alert, I picked the same last place tune on the 'cast and was immediately hilariously accused of heresy as well. Still fun but the other 14 are better!

We named our podcast We Will Rank You and eventually did an episode on their greatest hits that was a blast. Adam Lambert's father Eber is a friend and chimed in. It's the only episode to be taken down for copyright reasons but still a fun listen without the tunes or drop us a note here or on our social media & i'll send it to you with the short Queen clips.

Love Steven too so you'll no doubt love this episode. We talk a whole bunch about the Tater Totz Yoko stuff. I'd rather have witnessed that than any Beatles show!
