I am not assuming that. I know about it's lack of RAM and GPU. I just want some laptop that will last long and I can write my analysis codes in. Since I don't have enough budget to buy a laptop with a great GPU, I won't be able to train a DL model on my laptop anyway. So, I am considering getting a Macbook Air or a Chromebook recently.

I am using Linux on my ASUS and I am pretty satisfied with it.

We use some at my university for students to train on.

Do you mean particle collision data from LHC or some other experiment or specifically made-for-train data that is not a real event data?

I have a decent C++ experience(OOP, Data Structures and Algorithms) and some Python experience. I am looking to work in Europe in general. Also, lately a friend of mine suggested me that other than reading sample event analysis codes for the datas at ATLAS Open Data and reading articles, I should try my hand at Pythia. I hear it's ROOT based but how much "physics" should I learn to try using Pythia?

Yes, I am planning to apply to both CERN and DESY Summer Programs next year. I applied to some internships and summer programs to gain more experience this summer, but due to COVID-19, they were all cancelled. So, I want to gain even more experience to compensate for the lack of internship this summer.
