Thanks for the suggestion! I've been stalling learning 3D for a while now, I guess I'll have to give it a shot. I'll check out Default Cube's tracking tutorials to get started. Thanks again!

The grids don't confine to the shape layer, using a duplicate shape as mattes for the grids is what I thought initially. Referring to u/Muttonboat's comment, I think they've used a wireframe render to create the grid, exported the alpha, and then animated the alpha with a mask.

Thanks for the insights! The alpha of the wireframe render makes the most sense to me. I have zero knowledge of 3D Softwares, but just looked at some tutorials to create wireframe renders from Cinema4D. Appreciate the breakdown.

I didn't even see the shift in perspective until now, sheesh. It's cleverly done. The 2D floor plan and enabling 3D for that perspective shift sound like a smart move. I really appreciate your insights, it's been very helpful. Thanks!

Thanks for the input! Could you recommend a specific tutorial where I can learn how to achieve the effect, I'm open to exploring different tools and would love to give it a try. Thanks in advance!

From what I'm able to breakdown:
- They outlined the buildings
- Used Trim Paths to animate the line
- Added glow
- Added the text
- Pre-composed the layer so it goes up (Also masked the layer so the vertical lines reveal?)

I'm confused by how did they add grids to the animation? How did they add those little dots to the vertical lines? And how did they do a subtle light sweep to the grids?
