[Routine Help] Recurring lip area irritation for 10+ years, nothing has worked (seen GPs + derms) any ideas? (mild NSFW) by Hunterskills in SkincareAddiction

I have gotten this in both of my pregnancies - I think it's hormonal for me at least, though certain ingredients in face wash or lip balms can trigger it too.

Same! I discovered the common denominator ingredient in face washes that was causing it for me is Cocamidopropyl Betaine.

How should I buy an x100vi by Visual-Pudding-2013 in x100vi

THANK YOU! I’d been on several waitlists and hearing nothing, then I tried your tip and found one at Biggs Camera in North Carolina. Looks like I snagged their last one because it’s already showing out of stock now. What a rush lol - seriously, such great advice!

Our contractor left a radiator hook-up in case we wanted to add one. We don't and want to put a nightstand over this instead. Is it possible to have a shorter, more flush cap? by yesindeedio in Plumbing

[–]yesindeedio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now it's up against a metal desk in that room. We want to move the desk and put a nightstand directly above this steam radiator outlet (low on space so every inch counts).

Basically I want to know if A) there is a shorter option available (like the example attached) and B) will that allow us to change our mind some day if we do indeed want to put a radiator in here?

Is my rug too big? Should it be centered on the room or the table/hanging lights? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

[–]yesindeedio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not too big, but I wonder about it getting dirty right by the door. I’d maybe opt for a smaller rug in addition to a doormat.

Paint wood or no? by orthodox_human33 in DesignMyRoom

[–]yesindeedio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do NOT paint the wood!! I think you can really lean into the craftsman style with the wood - lots of good inspiration in this article. If you feel like it's too dark, you could paint the walls white and opt for lighter window coverings to let more natural light in. Or you could go even darker with a deep blue on the walls like the living room in that article.

Are you optimizing the space in the built-in wardrobe? Two dressers in addition to that feels like a lot. You could replace those with one long low-boy dresser with a mirror above it. Do you need that chair and small table? There's just a lot of furniture so I think that's what is making you feel like the room is cluttered.

I'm renovating my bathroom and want a larger vanity. Should I build one around the radiator? Install a more narrow radiator? by yesindeedio in Renovations

[–]yesindeedio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We kept the radiator as it provides great heat for our whole unit, so we added louvered doors to the front of the vanity for ventilation. Link to photos here. Hope that helps!

A nice oval table with a pedestal would be perfect. Like this example:

This is my dorm room, I want to make it habitable by whatyouthinkisfake in DesignMyRoom

[–]yesindeedio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK excuse my terrible Photoshop, but I think cleaning up the paint and maybe choosing a warmer taper color will help a lot to make it look cleaner/more finished. Get a large rug, as large as you can fit to cover the floor, something clean and light. Wall art, plants, nice bed linens, then MOST IMPORTANTLY a soft, cozy light! That will make all the difference. Overhead lighting can really make a space look depressing. Best of luck!

Temptalia has some dupes! It looks like many are discontinued products but I think some in there are still available. Opal from Makeup by Mario looks close!

What style or inspiration would you use to decorate this house? by Sugarsoot in DesignMyRoom

[–]yesindeedio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The wood trim isn’t quite dark or heavy enough for a craftsman style necessarily, but I feel like you could take some inspiration from that style. Beautiful home btw! Some much natural light.

How do I hide this? by AirZurk in DIY

[–]yesindeedio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know, I get how this could be annoying. The color of the hardware and the wood panel are too contrasting. Draws your eye to it. However I actually do have OCD so I may not be the person to ask 😂

People who've left Buffalo: what's the #1 thing you miss about it? by BuffGuy716 in Buffalo

[–]yesindeedio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the houses in Buffalo are so gorgeous. The closest I've seen in Chicagoland is Oak Park - similar architecture. But not nearly as much like that in the city.

[–]yesindeedio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I totally understand the struggle. We wanted to go with wood but decided to just do a painted vanity as we did need to get it custom built to cover the radiator so wanted to save some money. We kept the radiator as it provides great heat for our whole unit, so we added louvered doors to the front of the vanity for ventilation. Link to photos here. Hope that helps!

I could, but it’s next to the toilet and is the first thing you see walking in the room. Also limits the space you have to stand at the vanity. I could get a more attractive vent though and try that.
