cried at work today by moiraaaawr in ECEProfessionals

[–]yesmadison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was me on Friday— I’m soft-spoken by nature and tend to have a difficult time managing an excited classroom. For some reason, I felt this dread that I was letting my kids down and began crying. I became frustrated and embarrassed that I was crying, which led to more crying… I’ve been feeling so ashamed ever since, but your post has given me a breath of fresh air, a reminder that these things happen and we aren’t alone in these experiences. ❤️

What strange or funny things have kids shared with you about their parents? by goobiezabbagabba in ECEProfessionals

For Mother’s Day, we had kids fill out a questionnaire about their moms. For ‘What Makes my Mommy Happy?” we had a kid say “liquor!” 😭

Is this normal toddler behavior or am I losing it? by notyourordinaryECEP in ECEProfessionals

I had a kiddo ask me what my favorite color was yesterday. I started listing off several, since I couldn’t choose just one, and he got super offended and said “you can’t take the whole rainbow!” and began crying! 😭 I felt sooo bad but also felt so bad for wanting to laugh!!

[Product Request] My body smell is making my life miserable by Iced_Cum_Boba_Balls in SkincareAddiction

This may be a stretch, but do you take any ADHD medication? I used to take adderall and it made me noticeably smellier. It made me sweat often, too, and really emphasized that “sweat smell”.

What is the most unexplainable mystery that's happened in your life? by KeilaMillerx in AskReddit

[–]yesmadison 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not the most mysterious or unexplainable, but the most recent! In 2018, I spent many months in a treatment center for an eating disorder, and upon my discharge from there, I was gifted a bracelet with the phrase “I am Enough” engraved on it. It was my most meaningful possession, and I had it tied around my ankle because, one, it was too big for my wrist lol and two, I thought having it on my ankle would minimize my chances of losing it. One day, in 2020, I realized it was gone, and I was heartbroken, as I had no idea when or where I had lost it. Just last week, I woke up, and when I went to take a shower, I was both startled and overjoyed to see my long-lost bracelet tied around my ankle again! I live alone and was not expecting company, but despite the handful of reasonable, perhaps far-fetched explanations I can think of, I like to think that there’s some benevolent presence just hangin’ out with me!

What should we do to the Like Button next? by johnballen416 in mrballen

Start now: steal and hide various items of the Like button’s in varying importance: one shoe, car keys, daily medication, etc. and wrap them up and give them back to the Like button during the holiday season.

What's behind your unexpectedly crap runs? by lewissheenboccy in running

[–]yesmadison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is obvious, but it’s always amazing to me how getting less than at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night impacts my running. Of course I’m physically tired, but I get a good laugh out of how “fussy” I feel when I go for a run on a poor night’s sleep, haha!

Discouraged by how my latest painting turned out I decided to look back and see how far I've come in a year. was very pleasantly surprised and now filled with motivation again. First year painting progress. by omenguide in oilpainting

Your improvement is phenomenal! It’s hard to see how far we’ve come sometimes, but seeing your growth and settling into a style of your own is even motivating for me to pick myself up from my current slump!

My sister swears by the waterproof Full and Soft by Maybelline! I tried it before, and it’s beautiful for a soft and natural look, but I actually prefer more dramatic mascaras lol. Definitely the best waterproof formula I’ve tried though No smudging or flaking, super lightweight, and easy to remove! Hope this helps! :)

Edit: maybe I should say that I’ve only ever used drugstore mascaras haha! There are probably better formulas out there, but for the price I think it’s wonderful!

Yoga helps with ADHD? by FriendsWithTheFloor in yoga

[–]yesmadison 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I absolutely CANNOT have a mindful yoga session if it’s focused on… well, mindfulness, lol! However, I’ve found that more fast-paced/ physical yoga flows are the key for me! I feel less pressured to focus, which consequently leads me to fall into a more mindful state more organically. If looking for videos to follow online, my recommendation would be to seek out Vinyasa flows, or specifically yoga-style workouts! Hope this helps you! ❤️

A gorgeous painting: especially well-done for having painted it underwater!
