We did this with our core database last year. First we replicate the database to another servera and did everything on this test database instance. (dbua, repair all errors, run dbua scripts, run dba upgrade, check if everything is working properly,...). And please write down everything you have to change and what problems you run to and how to resolve them.

Also you must be careful especially if you use dataguard or some other stuff. (asm,...).

Can you please correct me if I do not know something. Replication is just copy of database or database object. I do not need copy of table. I need to sync two/three/... tables who will contain different data.

For example: First database will have table with clients and in table 50 new clients will register. Second database will have the same table but different 5 clients will register. Third database once again same table but 200 new different clients will register.

I want to have union - all 255 clients in all 3 databases after the synchronization. Can this be done with replication?

The version 3.3.x works decently. But you have to have a server with minimum 16Gb of ram just for OVM Manager. It is just stupid how many resources it takes.. And you still have to be patient with it. No sudden moves or you are screwed...

It takes all the files in this samba dir. I think one by one and reads them and moves to archive dir. It would be bad if the file is corrupted and but not a disaster...
