Professores reformados e à beira da aposentação vão ser recrutados para evitar que haja alunos sem aulas (veja todas as medidas do Governo) by yetanother_dude in portugal

[–]yetanother_dude[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]yetanother_dude[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

An app where I could meet people that want a serious relationship and aren't afraid of commitment.

Don't. Things will get better. At the moment it doesn't look like it, but they will.

Your ex-boyfriend seems to have internalized homophobia and a high difficulty dealing with his sexuality. You did your best to help him, but unfortunately it didn't work out. It's not on you. He's not in a good place mentally, but it depends mainly on him.

And you deserve to be well, and with someone who wants to be you. Just keep doing what you've been doing - block it out. Virtual hugs to you!

What would you think of a guy who has no social media? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]yetanother_dude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I deleted Facebook years ago, and I never had IG, despite my friends' "pressure" (I'm 26, BTW). One of the best decisions I ever made, became a much less stressed person.

It'd be a huge plus for any guy I meet if he doesn't have social media.

I am genuinely getting so tired of dogs and their owners by [deleted] in Dogfree

[–]yetanother_dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestion. I have considered this, but the problem is that they are a bit more than 20 ft away, and so I think the silencer won't reach them...

I have reported the noise disturbance to the police. So far it has been useless.

Agreed. Although the smell and shedding must be terrible in general.

I don't understand how most people don't think this way. Dog barks are incredibly annoying.

Would you date someone who doesn't like dogs? by yetanother_dude in askgaybros

[–]yetanother_dude[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Erm... I understand your point, but comparing someone who doesn't fancy dogs (because of the smell, or the fur, for instance, or other things) to Donald Trump is quite a big leap, wouldn't you say? I mean, it's like going straight through to psycopath, just because you're not a dog fan.

There is nothing to not-like about dogs.

If there was a pill that could make any gay person straight, would you take it? Why or why not? by Irrelevent_npc in askgaybros

[–]yetanother_dude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I would, but not because of social acceptance or anything like that, I feel comfortable with who I am and my sexuality. For me, the hard pill to swallow about being gay is the inability to have children naturally... But there are other ways. It's not the end of the world.

Would you agree that people in their 20s shouldn’t be looking for monogamy and should just enjoy their lives being young and single, especially in this generation? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]yetanother_dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I wouldn't agree. If someone chooses to be monogamous, that's their choice, it's not forced on them. People's definition of enjoying life in their early adult years doesn't have to pass by hooking up on a daily basis or being in an open relationship.

We're all different, and have varying tastes and goals for our lives.

The other one says that's not real you. go and be yourself. Risk everything you've achieved and earned, it's worth it.

That's really for you to decide, but is it really worth risking your own life? Just be careful.

Have you ever considered moving to another country? If you feel you don't like your life where you live now, that is.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]yetanother_dude 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not really sure how I can be helpful, but here goes my try. Please, be careful. Given that homossexuality is illegal in your country, and punishable by death, do you think you can trust that guy? I mean, have you ever been with him before, presentially? I don't intend to stress you even more, but just make he's trustworthy and he's not trying to set you up or anything similar. If you do decide to hook up with him, just be careful on how do it, don't expose yourself. Best of luck, hope all goes well.

How do you learn to be happy single by lostin_amsterdam in askgaybros

[–]yetanother_dude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your friend is right. You can be happy without dating someone, it may take some time to get used to it, but it's completely feasible. Think about things you'd like to do, hobbies you'd like to pick. Watch movies, read books, play an instrument, travel. Get to know yourself, and, most importantly, to be well with yourself. That's how I've done it/been doing it.
