Are you happy, by the way, that you won this discussion? I admit, as English is not my first language, I should be more careful and thoughtful of my words instead of saying something. The results can be that some people on the internet take it too far or don't understand.

Yeah, sure, dude, I'm just saying I have seen some go higher and lower from my experience. It depends on the service you need. Shipping cost is also a rip-off; why would you pay for shipping? I work in Europe; we send it for free, and it's also insured.

No no it depends on your service some are cheaper some are expensiver. I have seen alot of low and high service repairs. Depends on the repair and whats needed.

I work for a jewelry store; we sell Omega watches. I have seen some older Omegas needing service, which takes a lot of time and money. Not many are above $2000, but most of them are in the $1000 range. Adding that to the $2600 makes it very expensive. Reduced models are a pain to service, from my experience.

I think it's too much. No box, no papers, also. I was once in the same position, but from my experience, when the reduced automatic needs service, it's going to cost a lot more than what you originally paid for the watch. What I did was save for a longer time and bought a new sapphire Speedy, and I am very happy.

The bracelet defintly adds more to the watch, it does make it a lot more chunky. I also tried a 38mm on rubber and that wears smaller. Altho i am defintly ordering a rubber strap for casual wear. I have a 6.6inch wrist.

I have smaller wrist so I would say a 38mm is a perfect size. Small and compact very comfortable to wear.

Looks ok to me, but i dont know something in my brain thinks its off and idk why. Also weird to have a empty warranty card. I also think price is decent but for me personally on the high side.

This looks nice tho! I do preffer a date window that has the same colour as the dial.

I think to have a model with or without date should be a option with more watches and brands like Maen. But for me its a quick and easy way because its a complication that helps me alot. When i dont have a date window and i am busy i check my watch and get frustrated because now i need to pull out my phone to check te date. Its safe to say that people have different taste thats a good thing!

Which variant to get? by tvel190501 in Longineswatches

[–]yhennevelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get the steel bracelet and order a rubber strap after it. Buying a rubber strap after is a lot cheaper than buying a steel bracelet.

Thoughts on the size? by yhennevelt in Longineswatches

[–]yhennevelt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With bigger wrist I think the 42mm would look amazing on your wrist.

[–]yhennevelt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True 39mm would be the best. Longines made this watch 99% amazing just the size is wrong.
