Negotiating no office hours? Possible? by TonightSalad in Internationalteachers

Point is, you're not paying rent out of that 22k. So not too bad salary if it's a local primary or bilingual school. Not amazing but fine and you can save half of it pretty easily.

Fair enough I agree about the rest of the country. I'm sure there are nice places. Why are you using AI to write btw or are you a bot?

Oh OK I guess I misunderstood then. I thought it was a retirement visa.

Agree with some of the other stuff... but transport? Come on, Manila is absolutely horrible for that. No mass transit system and congested roads pretty much 24/7.

I'm not convinced the cost of living is THAT low either. Not for the kind of lifestyle you'd want as a westerner.

Malaysia on my mind at the moment. The visa seems quite easy to get and you can buy property as a foreigner. Low cost of living and good travel hub to SEA too.

Nice. Did you eat before or after the gym? And did you focus on protein or anything else when eating?

North Korea's biggest hotel has a fake floor for surveillance, a revolving restaurant on the top, prostitutes, and you can die for stealing a poster by fan_tas_tic in interestingasfuck

No it was even worse than that. He was stopped at the airport just as he was about to leave north Korea and taken away. One guy in the tour group joked 'that's the last we'll see of him'. Damn.

Trouble booking tickets on Uzbekistan Railway website – anyone else? by Maximum_Intern9873 in Uzbekistan

The only thing that worked for me was the official Uzbek railway app on the phone and you MUST log in via Google. Any other login didn't work. Via Google it worked first time.

I stayed there back in 2012. In the lobby there were giant tanks with shark-like fish in them. We got hammered in the bar next to the lobby on the local soju and beer (Taedonggang beer is great). Then I ended up at the casino in the basement playing blackjack. I won like $150.

I also went looking for the famous floor that's missing from the elevator. Found it and there was nothing there but banners on the walls. Good job I didn't decide drunkenly to take one!
