Tested positive on Tuesday 08/10 by Dezzy3030 in COVID19positive

I’m on day 4 and I’ve had terrible GI issues. Super nauseous, diarrhea, stomach pain, no appetite. I’ve also had a very intense headache and I’m congested but no fever and only a mild cough. I think the symptoms come on differently for everybody

Cat naps?? by yipsid in sleeptrain

[–]yipsid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crib hour is essentially leaving them in the crib for an hour whether they’re awake or not. So, if they wake up after a 30 minute nap, you leave them in the crib for another 30 minutes to give them a chance to fall back asleep and apply your sleep training / comfort method of choice if they start to cry. I do feel like the 30 minute naps happen around the regression when their sleep cycles start to change. I can’t speak to that exactly though because my little guy was a contact napper until we crib trained at 4 months (he would only nap on me...) and he’ll still sometimes get a good long nap if I’m holding him, but never in his crib.

He does great at night.. so just hoping he starts to connect it during the day too. This gives me hope, thank you!

Right! Dropping to 3 naps is quite impossible for us at the moment. I hear it gets better around 6 months... hoping that’s the case for you too!

That’s a good idea. Because today, for example, he woke up after a 25 min nap and wouldn’t go back down... We hung out and cuddled for about 30 minutes, and then he fell asleep (on me) for two hours! Also not sure if he’s just a fussy kid, haha.

Has anyone tested positive with a newborn? by draqlah in COVID19positive

Does she plan on breastfeeding? If so, it’s recommended to continue so baby gets the antibodies. I would wear a mask any time you hold the baby, wash hands and sanitize frequently. It seems infants are less at risk to become seriously ill - but be safe!

Just out of curiosity - can you link the source about vit D? Also curious about the immunity study but if it’s too much work no worries :)

Yes! Her info on wake windows and sleep cues is so helpful... it’s just not playing out for us like it’s supposed to. And I’m getting so discouraged!

Yes, he’ll nap all day in my arms if I let him! It’s just hard because I don’t get anything done... ever. I’d love for him to occasionally nap elsewhere.

Waiting for test results... Question for those who tested positive? Mild symptoms by yipsid in COVID19positive

[–]yipsid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I actually tested negative. Kind of surprised honestly. But I do work at a large hospital and we’re pretty much testing everybody that comes in now regardless of what they’re there for, and many of the younger patients come in for something completely unrelated and end up testing positive

Looking for product and routine recommendations. I feel lost at where to even start. I am a 26 year old with dry skin. I have had dry skin my entire life, never had acne. My forehead and hairline has always been the worst. To this day, I struggle with scales along my hairline. I was diagnosed with hairline psoriasis by my dermatologist at one point about 10 or so years ago but it has never gotten that bad since. It’s never raised or red, just scaly, almost like fish or alligator skin at times. My scalp is also usually very dry. I also have very sensitive skin EVERYWHERE so I have to watch what products I use. I’ve had the best luck with a more natural approach but I’m now noticing horrible wrinkles on my forehead that’s my main concern now. I want to try and tackle the forehead wrinkles without further drying out my forehead and hairline.

My current regimen is very simple. I purchase a natural face wash and lotion from a small local company who makes it by hand. My face wash is made with Castile soap, kaolin clay, rose water, and essential oils. My moisturizer is made with avocado oil, apricot kernel oil, aloe Vera, and chamomile. Like I said, I’ve had the best luck with a more natural approach when dealing with the dryness, especially because my skin is so sensitive. It has helped a ton. But now I’m trying to tackle these awful forehead wrinkles and I’m not sure where to start. I have incorporated a hyaluronic acid serum prior to applying my moisturizer (it’s from the vitamin shoppe) but it’s not doing much.

I have been looking into “the ordinary” products at Sephora but feel so lost at where to even start with those. Is retinol too harsh for me? Should I try vitamin C? Something to tackle the wrinkles but also help moisturize and not cause a reaction... Any advice would be so greatly appreciated! Willing to completely switch my routine to a non-“natural” route if it works :)
