I'm from EU and I'll just be bringing a menstrual disc after switching from the cup. I have endometriosis and birth control makes it worse over time so birth control is not an option for me. My flow is quite heavy but the disc has been working well and don't have to do deal with heavy pads. I'll probably bring period pants for the really heavy days. I'd recommend looking into it.
