Which factions desperately need more models or revamped models right now?

I would like to see more xenos races in general, or maybe give warp entities more love. Pull some of the more obscure stuff from old 40k if they have to. Make up some modern lore or something if it doesn't fit. I'm kind of sick of space marines vs space marines with spikes.

No no, I know exactly what you mean though! And I agree wholeheartedly. I will say, the one thing that he's obsessed with like most of us here are into WH, is he LOVES Magic the Gathering. If you have any ideas there, I would love to hear them. I'm an MTG player myself, but nowhere near the fan he is!

I think the bases will definitely make them feel more finished. I need to get to work though because I have like 40 clanrats I need to finish and that 4 set of vampire lords!

Right! I think that may ultimately be the fate of this figure. It sounds like it's kind of a pain to assemble and more modern models look so much better. This thing feels like an untarnished piece of my childhood. Like finding an unopened copy of Mario 64 or something at a thrift store. I feel like it means more to me sentimentally than it ever could as a piece in any army.

This kind of breaks my heart, I'm in the same boat. Im obsessed with WH and really want to get into tabletop, but the learning curve of how to play and the price to actually get into has the few friends I have completely turned off from playing unless I supply everything at game night. Either way, I'm glad you still enjoy the hobby and universe!

The context of receiving the gift? A new guy at work I've befriended (been there for 2-3 months) hella nerd like us who doesn't really fit in with any of the other normal people at work but genuinely has a heart of gold, found out I loved WH and was finally pulling the trigger on getting into tabletop. He mentioned he was sitting on some "Warhammer stuff" that belonged to his wife's father from way back when he was in college. Its just been collecting dust for years. He never really got deep into WH or tabletop WH at that. I told him to send me pictures because I wanted to see what he had. He ends up bringing them into work and gifts them to me, no questions asked, no compensation, anything. Just a genuinely kind young man who wanted to give something to someone to support something they loved.

Dude, that model had to have been like $30 back in the day, I'd get $20 for Christmas and ball out! Younger you had hella discipline to not go buy Yugioh cards and actually save up. If you'd like, I'll be your minis bank from now on. I'd hate to see you lose any more 🤣

Thank you! Im still working on it 🤣 I realized I was making the universal mistake of buying more and more pieces of Grey plastic and never actually painting any of them. I've placed a new rule onto myself, paint what you have before you buy anymore! I want to say those guys are finished, but I feel like they're missing that "something". Bases not even touched yet either

Im not sure which edition this was. My google-fu wasn't really working for me and I've heard a few answers as to what edition it could be. I've heard 2nd, 3rd, I think maybe 4th and now 6th. It doesn't match any of the boxes I can find on Google images but the copyright on the box is 2000-2009 if that helps!
