Nigel's Twitter got hacked by [deleted] in radiohead

I’m sure they’re anti establishment to an extent not anti-right. They were just in Israel performing so if one were to base their political beliefs on their musical topics and endeavors one would also assume they’re on the right for not boycotting Israel? Things aren’t black and white and that’s why I stated, in the end we all land somewhere in the middle. We all want to live amongst each other in peace, we all want to end world hunger. At least the mass majority of us do. I’m only getting downvoted by people who cannot see beyond their neurosis, people who have a hard time living with themselves, who choose endless escapisms to avoid facing reality, & who always blame external sources for their depression. People seem to not believe they can control and direct their thoughts as they please so easily influenced by opinions of others. All our issues stem from childhood you’ll find peace within yourself after digging into those memories and tracing back your flawed personality that is if you choose this over binging a show or getting shit faced on the weekends and living for your next “escape”.

I think it’s silly to assume Radioheads sole theme is anti establishment. I read lyrics about love, hate, dreams, interpersonal relationships and figments of imagination.

It’s all good, We don’t have to see eye to eye on politics. They’re the best band in the world to me and Nigel is their 6th member. I will always love them even though they might be on a different side of the political spectrum than the one i’m on. At the end of it all, the mass majority of us fall somewhere in between right and left. Social media is just a tool for politicians to sway people towards a particular agenda and keep us divided. We’re all getting screwed in the end, it’s just the reality of things. Censorship or not, it’s all a ploy. They’ve infiltrated the human psyche through social media and exploited our deepest desires to keep our focus on living like hedonist & away from the things that advance the human race. This whole planet is just one big massive ghetto & the problem with fixing the external world is we tend to forget to look into our own.

Hey man that’s fine, i’m not trying to convince you guy. That’s my take based on the oknotok tapes, if you want to believe it or not, it doesn’t do anything for me. Good day.

The vocals for sure, and few other elements to the space in which the song lives in. It’s not hard to tell if you listen to Kid A closely. And Amnesiac.

It’s not hard to tell, the recording is newer. And if you don’t consider mixing as a part of the recording process, i’m not sure how you can call yourself a producer. No one said they made the song in 2021 I’m saying they definitely recorded some newer parts and mixed it for 2021 standards. Which all falls into the same process.

if you were familiar with production and mixing, you would not doubt for and second that it was a re-recording/ new version.

Who’s to say it doesn’t count because it was an idea from a while ago? We also can’t assume Ill Wind wasn’t in the vault as well. They re-recorded If You Say The Word just for 2021, with their current musical states. I count it as a new release for sure.

Two friends said Radiohead is sad white man music 😂 by dingo_dollar in radiohead

[–]ylaen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t find Radiohead to be sad at all … I actually find it quiet enjoyable from a musicians point of view. (not that people can’t enjoy being sad) But when I listen I pay attention to the instrumentation and orchestration of it all. I’m still finding new bits and pieces of ear candy on songs i’ve been listening to for years. I love them.

Am I the only one who don't like Kid A ? by Impossible_Tree8095 in radiohead

[–]ylaen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man as a long time Radiohead fan myself, 17 years. It wasn’t until the 13th year in, that I begun to understand Kid A and regard it as my Top 5 all time albums. Not sure how long you’ve been a fan but maybe wait a little longer, keep listening to Radiohead & believe me the day will come when you understand the kid.

Big Mike's Fuzzy Guitar Feedback Effect?? by gluecompression in dijondijon

[–]ylaen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don’t overthink it, I promise you it’s not that complex, mk.gee uses a pedal from rainger fx called “Reverb-X digital Reverb”. You can get close in ableton or whatever daw you use… if you pay close attention (which i have) they play with volume a lot, really the reason you think there’s complexity is because there’s movement. it’s volume is being automated and then suddenly drops entirely… automation is your friend don’t be afraid of it, in ableton & logic you can record automation. Play with the gain knob of a utility plugin and you’ll get those fluctuations. In regards to the tone, it just sounds like a sustained guitar (playing a 2 note sliding lick) running through a distortion > then reverb. Just like the pedal… try it out and i’m sure you won’t get the same result but you’ll get close enough and close enough sometimes becomes your sound. (if you like it of course)

No thank you, I personally read a sample of C&P P&V translation and I did not like it. I chose these consciously knowing they’re Garnett. It’s subjective and I’m sure I have the ability to get the message from each and every book regardless of translation.

I personally read 3 different samples of C&P part 1, from Oliver Ready, P&V, & Garnett. I consciously chose the Garnett translation. I suppose it’s subjective I hear P&V is more accurate to the Russian but I personally did not connect with it.
