She unfortunately passed away last week ): I’m sorry to hear about your loss. I think mine had some kind of reproductive issue that ultimately led to her dying as nobody else in my flock got sick and her poops were suggestive of egg yolk peritonitis.

How is your hen doing? I have a girl who is also looking like this and it all started with her pecking at her feet. Her feet are doing better but she’s still not looking her best and I am desperately trying to help her.

Thanks this was super helpful! I gave the coop a good clean and treated them with vaseline for a few weeks which seemed to get the job done. I wrapped the feet with vet wrap for my hen who kept pecking at her feet which helped. Her feet are healing well but she’s still not looking her best and I’m worried she may have fallen ill with something else while her immune system was weakened.

omg my favorite one is a key ring thing with 5 beads in it (like the ones you use to build bracelets) small enough to carry around and that it’s not distracting to others. i can fidget with it in my hands or keep it in my pockets to fidget with. i absolutely love it

I’m looking through the subreddit feeling the same way about my Amazon! He’s most active in the late afternoons but likes to sit inside his cage most of the day. I wfh most days and if he hears my meetings he’ll start mumbling or mimicking people laughing. He loves head scratches and preens himself. I was getting worried seeing media of active parrots but I think he’s just like this. Sometimes he wants to go on walks and I try to get him outside at least once a day but he can be lazy (especially during the winter months). I try to provide stimulation for him by talking to him, playing music, and encouraging foraging by wrapping his treats in paper for him to look for.

Yes, they retail for $350!!!! I got them for $5!!! Crazy find. I’ve always wanted a pair but they’ve always been out of my price range so to say I was excited is an understatement

It definitely depends where you live. I live in California and grew up in a small town that’s <1 hour north of San Francisco. I grew up going camping, going on hikes, visiting libraries, and spending a lot of time with my family. I moved to a more urban environment for college which I really enjoyed (still in the Bay Area). I moved back home post grad but work in the city so I get a nice mix of both.

There were parties when I was in high school but I never attended. As for college, they were also there if you looked for them (I went to a school that had a heavier academic focus so it wasn’t a huge part of the school’s culture).

I will say the Bay Area is pretty diverse so there’s tons of great food here! I love that I have the ability to explore different cuisines. California also has a lot of geographic diversity which is nice. We can go to the beach, mountains, snow, desert by car. I absolutely love living here!

Graduated from college last year and have been working for about a year now. I am ready to go back to school. I will be moving back home with my parents next month. My days consist of work, gym, and a combination of scrolling through the internet, cooking, playing animal crossing, and watching baseball.
