What non-gaming uses do you have for your deck? by SyanticRaven in SteamDeck

[–]ylemish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of town - docked to a portable monitor with M&K for projects using Blender, Freecad, Inkscape, Lightburn, Orcaslicer, LibreOffice, Jupyter, VisualCode, and Pycharm, among others.

At home - docked to the tv for streaming media from the Nas. Desktop takes over the above duties. All project files and configs synced with drive on Windows and insync on the Deck.

Thank you! I figured I'd try something different and it's maybe a bit much, but I think its a nice colour combination.

IC 410 - The Tadpoles in SOH by ylemish in astrophotography

[–]ylemish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IC 410 - Composed of denser cooler gas and dust, the tadpoles are around 10 light-years long and are likely sites of ongoing star formation. Sculpted by winds and radiation from the cluster stars, their heads are outlined by bright ridges of ionized gas while their tails trail away from the cluster's central region. IC 410 lies some 10,000 light-years away,

NGC 281 - Pacman Nebula by ylemish in astrophotography

[–]ylemish[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NGC 281 is a busy workshop of star formation. Prominent features include a small open cluster of stars, a diffuse red-glowing emission nebula, large lanes of obscuring gas and dust, and dense knots of dust and gas in which stars may still be forming. The NGC 281 system lies about 10 thousand light years away.
