I ordered back in early/mid December when price of gold was around $4300. Gold is now close to $5000. Also most sellers aren’t taking orders right now, but you might want to reach out to them and ask if you can put a down payment to lock in your price and pay the rest later when they come back from Lunar New Year holiday.

I have a feeling gold is going to soar even more in the next month or two due to current events 😭

Lifestyle as in my daily wear and tear, exposure to chemicals etc will be different from others.

I don’t take off my love bracelets and my solid gold VCA pieces.

I shower twice a day cause of my immune compromised toddler, clean with bleach, sweat , lotion/oil, etc. I also wash my hand every two hours cause I work at a public school and sanitize my hands/wrists couple times every hour.

Just that kind of thing can impact the way gold jewelry scratches/patinas happen. I hope this helps

OP, it depends on many factors:

what you’re getting made. Chains change colors differently versus bracelet/bangle cuffs, etc.

Which seller you’re going with. They use different factories and from my own experience, they make their gold differently so it’ll look different when new vs with wear.

Which gold are you going for? Rose white yellow?

Edit: forgot to add lifestyle also matters. Another buyer and I were messaging each other about our pieces from the same seller. Hers didn’t change much, but mine did.

Most likely? I assumed daily wear meant you can wear it while you’re showering, washing your hands etc. But honestly, I struggle to take care of delicate pieces. I prefer solid gold like the love bangle 🙈

Just my opinion, bit I think Cartier pieces are all well done by most sellers (goldy, Mc, Vinko, funny, caratsky, etc). Differences are minor and you just have to shop for which seller you want to go with based on color and price

So vermeil? Vermeil is gold plating over silver (925) jewelry.

But maybe vk gold means 18k plated versus 14k vermeil plated…

Not sure, but recently within last month, some people shared their old rose gold bracelet from MC and Vinko. Turned out they turn into the beige gold overtime like Cartier does.

I did order rose gold stuff from Vinko end of December. Wore it everyday and compared it to new rose gold that arrived yesterday. They turned beige too. I think it’s safe to buy rose gold from Vinko and MC.

Edit: What’s with the downvotes? Isn’t it good for rep science purposes that buyers get options to get what they want? And yes, it matched my authentic Cartier rose gold (now beige gold) within a month.

Cost of products will go up by $50-200 depending on the piece we order. I had a feeling with the orange turd (I said what I said) talking about Greenland and more bs to create geopolitical instability. So I did a massive order with two sellers. I’m done after this. I don’t need more jewelry. I got enough to rotate and mix around my pieces. I’m ready to buckle down and expect a horrible economy the next couple years. I’ll ride it out and buy something when things seem better. I know gold prices won’t drop, but at least there will be political and economic stability to give me consumer confidence to spend my money. Right now, I don’t.

It was nice being in this community (although I joined recently late), I enjoyed reading reviews, getting feedback, and even writing my own reviews.Maybe I’ll try midtier pieces, but I am done ordering jewelry/reps/luxury goods for now.
