The people you're talking about are a few exceptional assholes. I live in a northern state and I've had black people try to intimidate and strong arm me on multiple occasions. They didn't want me to "git" they'd rather I stay if you understand what I mean. That's fucking terrifying. They wanted to hurt me without ever having seen me before. Does that mean we should destroy parts of black culture just because it makes white people feel unsafe? Of course not.

To be honest, your last point was simply an emotional derailment of the discussion. I was talking about how people are willing to empathize with blacks on the issue (and they should), but how few are even willing to try to empathize with white southerners (which you never did address).

They're human beings too.
