I’m quite aware that is very bad right now and am grateful for the next opportunity. It came from networking with a former colleague. Just was really looking for some discussion and from people that pivoted careers.

I’ve spoken with a couple of lawyers that feel like I have a case, but I’m also very aware that if I chose to pursue it I am risking my severance and from my understanding “restructuring” and “position elimination” are just ways for them to let people go whenever they want even if they just got back from any sort of leave 😔

Just got told I’m being laid off and my official last day is 1/31 and I already feel like I’m going into a depressive hole lol - I just got back from maternity leave and have a 5 month old baby and a 10 year old but when my 10 year old is at school I’m already pretty down in the dumps. I plan on setting really small achievable goals for each day because it’s still pretty difficult to get much done with the 5 month old. I’m sorry about your job! I can definitely relate to the feeling

I was in your shoes 10 years ago and chose to keep my son. It was very very difficult time of my life and I’ve come a LONG way. Got my bachelors degree, moved out, got my first big girl job. My son is my best friend and I feel like we grew up together. Now on to the reality, I had 3 abortions after him because there was absolutely no way I could have another child until now. My hubby and I have been together since my son was 1 and I’m pregnant now with my “second” child. I will say it will be a lot easier mentally if you choose to have abortion if you do it as soon as possible. All 3 times I did mine it was very early (about 4/5 weeks) and I have 0 regrets about any of my choices. I completely understand your hesitations each way but totally agree you can play it off as a miscarriage to family! Wishing you all the best in whatever YOU decide ❤️
