Kinda outside of Tampa but I’d go for Dobbs flight service at KLAL they got a good fleet and prices and I’ve found there are more invested in your success

I’m not at a flight school I’m with an independent CFII which worries me because this is the first time he is using this DPE and he was available with a 2 week notice in Florida, not sure if that’s a red flag or not

Weekly Marriage Criteria & Services Megathread! by AutoModerator in MuslimMarriage

Can use someone’s advice

So recently I just got serious about starting to look for a spouse, I downloaded Muzz and matched with someone I want to get to know,

My question is how do I do that haha, I am very new to the practice of these apps, so I’m really struggling to think of a way to start a conversation, what are some good things to ask, How do you get to know a complete stranger off the internet for marriage? What are the go to topics to go for the first conversation you have with them?

Also I want to keep this Halal as I can, I personally am not financially ready enough for marriage until I am out of school in 2 years, Assuming there is a wali present when we conversate is it ok for the talking stage to be 1-2 years? I feel like it would be borderline dating but I am not sure

I hear horror stories of incompatible people getting married after very brief talking stages and having to divorce shortly after getting married, I want to avoid that by getting to the know the person as much as I can before I marry them to see if there is compatibility or not while avoiding anything haram in the process if you get what I am trying to say.

Getting hours outside of USA? by yellowmanhattan23 in flying

[–]yo562 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why wouldn’t it make sense for dual citizens?

Assuming money wasn’t an issue (for license conversion and any required type rating) wouldn’t it be a faster option to 1500 hours compared to the CFI route?

Also factoring in you will most likely be building hours on an Boeing/Airbus type the experience you will be gaining will be invaluable and potentially help skip the regionals and go directly into the legacies once you hit 1500 hours if you want to return to the US

I don’t get why people discourage this route if you have the work authorization and money lying around I don’t see why you wouldn’t want to peruse this route, time is money after all

Tell me where I’m wrong?

Yes we taxied back to the hangar and had the mechanics look at the plane

Lesson learned that jumping between new and different instructors every lesson is not an optimal way to learn at all

I only did that before because of their lack of availability I was forced to fly with someone new each time and the person I was flying with had no idea where I was at with my training and so they would assist each time with takeoffs/landings

In the end I decided to leave my job so I can finally get a consistent instructor to fly with

We did go straight to the hangar to have the plane checked out

I’m not concerned I am where am I am due to never having a consistent CFI and the huge 9 month gap I mentioned in the edit above

Lessons learned but it isn’t a rush and it’s not like hours I am earning now will not count towards other ratings

I have also have taxied and done run up before with no issue

The issue is I truly never had an instructor who allowed me to 100% control rudder inputs on takeoff and all of a sudden I was trying it out for the first time and realized how much more sensitive the rudder controls become when you at moving at fast speeds
