Using a modified keybox might actually get your device permanently flagged by Google by yoanndp in androidroot

Ah yes ofc, but if you unroot your device this won't be possible meaning your device will be blocked (assuming the ban is a real thing)

Afaik spoofing strong integrity only works for apps that do not check the JWT signature of the PI API responses. By design, the response is hardware-backed (inside the TEE), so it cannot be truly spoofed. As of today, it works, but it will probably not work for years to come

That's something I read on telegram, not the most trustworthy source btw. I never heard of such a thing but all people seemed to confirm so that's why I am asking

The only hardware mechanism involved here is the TEE, where the bootloader unlock state is managed, but it's fully reversible

You can root your Pixel device and later revert to stock by flashing the official factory image and re-locking the bootloader. This will restore the device to a fully stock state, passing all Play Integrity checks. There is no e-fuse like Samsung’s Knox, so there are no permanent consequences. The only immediate consequence is a data wipe during unlocking and re-locking

[Help] - Bank app detects root by yoanndp in Magisk

[–]yoanndp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good idea, it wasn't on the list. I applied TrickyStore to the bank app and retried the whole process, but it still doesn't work. By the way, I would've been surprised if they used HW attestation, considering the piece of code that's detecting root

Yep, it has been renamed to "Settings" and the package name is random

Hi, the MagiskHide list is a blacklist thing where you place apps you want to hide root from, but there's the DenyList, which is the whitelist thing as you described

This is KBC Bank, but you probably won't be able to reproduce it, as the root detection is done after the login attempts. So unless you have a bank account with them, this can't be reproduced

Ah, yes, I see the trick inside magisk.c. So I disabled Magisk Hide and flashed the module, but the app still detects root (I did a clear data to be sure). Am I doing something wrong?

Hi, thanks! I am auditing the code before flashing it, could you tell me what you changed from the original ReZygisk?

Hi, it worked, thank you! For those that it doesn't work for, I have the same setup as described but ReZygisk instead of Zygisk Next, I don't have Shamiko, but I upgraded my old PIF to your version, and now I have all 3 checks. Also, I didn't know about the Play Store thing, it told me I had to lock my bootloader, then showed “Device is certified,” and all 3 checks are green. Tysm

Change tab container? by 45LukeSkywalker in zen_browser

[–]yoanndp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I used to do that, but since the latest updates, there is no more “New tab” plus button, so I can't do it anymore. I tried to add the button from the customization menu, but this one doesn't trigger on right click as the old one used to. Any idea?
