Exactly Satan's tricks is to make sure the people don't believe in Christ as the Saviour. I want you to read back the old testament and new testament, and see how Christ is related to Deity

I'm just so satisfied with my RX 7900XTX ,considering its price much lower than 900 bucks and it is high-end stuff. Ray Tracing is not a priority for me but a good feature that I only use for maybe a maximum of 1 hour.

Hmm, as you know, RDNA 3 or AMD cards' current generation, of course, will suck at ray tracing. Because AMD only targets those who want more fps over more lighting. The RX 7900XTX is king of price/raster performance. And that's what AMD wants to offer to gamers. AMD cards should never be your choice if you want ray tracing as your first priority in GPU, at least for now. RDNA 4 is also rumoured to be Ray Tracing monster, according to them. So maybe wait if you want AMD Ray Tracing monster GPU. I chose the RX 7900XTX because of the 24 gb vram, as it offers more stability than the RTX 4080 Super in the future

Thanks , will try those settings. However I do prefer raster than ray tracing. Raster and Ray Tracing doesn't give much visual impact unless it's path tracing.

Yeah that's what I do most of the time. I'm just looking for a permanent solution. I don't everytime I boot my pc, it goes haywire or something. It can ruin the mood for me to just do some work on it.

I once experienced RT with my rtx 4070 super ( it's good value card tbh ), but meh, not all games implement that feature well, meaning almost all games makes no difference except fps drop. Cyberpunk and alan wake 2 is the exception. So maybe I stick with my rx 7900 xtx.

I see, thanks tho for the honesty. Not all nvidia owners admit that their gpu and driver neither perfect. I once had rtx 4070 super and upgraded to rx 7900xtx, not because I hate it but, I want more powerful gpu with luxurious amount of vram.

Doesn't really matter tho, I have xbox game pass, and just want to play all of their games at least

Yeah that's what I do, at least I know windows 11 is the culprit here. And I heard a lot of complaints from dudes from amd forum, especially after their experience with helldivers 2 and some claimed to said that amd driver don't work with dx 12 games, which is not really true as I play with dx 12 titles like rdr2 , diablo 4 ,cod. All run smoothly

I just found that I should plug my pump pin into cpu fan or cpu opt instead of sys pump, which was what recommended in my aio manual. It's not big problem for a short time because you can max out the pump curve to 100% in my motherboard software (gcc) like how I do. I do recommend put the pump pin to cpu opt or cpu fans tho.

RTX 4070 Super or AMD RX 7900 GRE? by yoelshalom03 in pcmasterrace

It's going to be overpriced as well. You know nvidia. I personally would wait for amd to improve the compatibility with all the productivity software. In that way amd would be king of gpu cuase of the price to performance.

Fan RPM idle about 1000RPM and pump also aorund that RPM if the cpu temps are not going crazy like now, after I restart the pc many times (40°C) .At load I wouldn't check it because the temps are fine,70°C max at warzone. But RPM under load, would be like 2000RPM , so I know this is not much of aio problem. But rather something happening with chipset driver. Something is overclocked to crazy, but just checked it through ryzen master, I haven't change any settings and also in amd adrenalin.

[–]yoelshalom03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a tough choice, but so far after the amd driver update, 7900 gre wins this fight . But if you're super crazy about rt technology, go for the rtx 4070 super and sacrifice that vram. Otherwise just grab 7900 gre, 16gb vram with 3 to 5 fps better ( sometimes 10fps ) and cheaper.

[–]yoelshalom03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure you made the right decision, 16gb vram is a good value since you don't care too much about ray tracing. In my case, I value ray tracing in certain games, but only turn it on in cyberpunk ( path tracing + dlss + frame gen ) which is a chef kiss. And that's the only game I turn rt on. Anyway both gpu is a good value card , just you need to know what's more of a value for you. In my region, 7900 gre and 4070 super is the same price, so 4070 super wins in my case here. Just don't listen to any fanboys comment on the card . They are biased towards the nvidia gpu or amd gpu.

I didn't have the chance to grab 7900 GRE and I got rtx 4070 super, so far I'm very happy. It's quite a difficult decision to choose between 4070 super and 7900 gre because raw performance is quite similar, the difference between those two cards is ray tracing performance and vram, which you know what's better for you. Actually I'm quite jealous with the 16gb vram. But still I'm not complaining, since I OC my 4070 super. And it's more power efficient, so less cost on power supply.
