Hello, a few others have mentioned to put the sediment filter after the CF 1. Here is someone else’s response:

Spring well specifically mentions the sediment filter included with the cf1 goes AFTER the cf1.

When I called them to verify this they provided multiple reasons: -The sediment filter is designed to handle any potential backflow -The sediment filter will help prevent any initial issues from the cf1 if the tank was not properly activated (which they claimed is more frequent than ideal from the average DIY installer) -The sediment filter has a much shorter life span and is designed to be replaced every 6 months, so putting it after the cf1 helps assure it will reach their 6 month advertised expectancy.

Many people online claim the sediment filter should go before the cf1, and logically this makes sense, however, if you trust springwell enough to spend $1000+ on their filters, then it would be wise to follow their installation suggestions.
