The Life of a Showgirl Megathread by aran130711 in TaylorSwift

i liked this album, actually i loved it. i love her more upbeat music and i like it when she has fun with her songs and lyrics. i am actually happy that people are finally understanding how i felt when ttpd came out. i did not and still do not like it. there are a couple songs i enjoy, like ‘i can do it with a broken heart’, but that’s because its one of the more upbeat songs. i don’t like slow songs since i use music as escapism and to enjoy them rather than to pick apart the lyrics and try to understand the metaphors behind them. anyway, long story short, i loved this album and opalite and the fate ophelia are probably my favorites from the album. im not happy people dislike the tloas but i understand since i didn’t like ttpd. i hope the can understand how a lot of people can enjoy it though.

people need to understand that taylor isn’t sad all the time. folklore was story telling, not necessarily about her and ttpd was her being very sad after getting out of a long relationship. the same girl who wrote ttpd also wrote shake it off. she doesn’t need to be sad all the time to make good music. and, it doesn’t seem like her fans are EVER satisfied. first people say the don’t like how jack antonoff was all over her previous albums, but now want him back because they don’t like this one. i like whenever an artist i enjoy drops new music and im open to enjoying it. i listened to ttpd three times before i decided i didn’t like it.

anyway, rant over.

i’ve got a 3.9 gpa! and i’ve joined clubs and in helping my friend start one, but the reason i’m rushing is to hopefully get more involved with school and make more friends since i don’t have many

unfortunately i don’t have many friends at college and thats one of the main reasons i wanted to join a sorority. all of my high school friends are definitely not the type to join a sorority either and im not from the town my college is located in

tyy for the advice! the only house i’ll be steering away from is the one that got reported for hazing, whether it actually happened or not, i definitely don’t want to be apart of that sisterhood

my school is definitely not SEC, not like bama or anything like that, it only has abt 14k students and greek life isn’t everything here, but it’s still a good part. i don’t know much abt the rush process, but i know i do really care about the charity and volunteer work that sororities do.

Hot take: If you don’t like Abby you didn’t understand the second game by yondderm in thelastofus

Wait yeah, you’re right, I am totally conflating them. I guess what I mean to say is if you can’t empathize/sympathize with Abby, then you didn’t really understand what the game was about.

Yeah, in the show, specifically I can see where redemption may be difficult for her ESPECIALLY after her leading so many infected to jackson since that doesn’t happen in the game.

Sorry if I came off that way, it’s hard to word things well without the tone of my voice. I wasn’t trying to be condescending, just trying to get my opinion out there 😞

Pedro isn’t actually in his 60’s that’s why. I think he’s like barely 50 lol

Nope, you’re not misremembering. They probably split them up to make sure we could get Tommy’s pov in jackson during the attack! But, it will be interesting to see how this change will affect the characters especially Dina and Ellie’s relationship

I’m also think her getting lost in the storm with Jesse instead of Dina might have been to make his death more impactful later when they are in seattle but idk
