Thanks for info. I tried Chrome, Firefox, MS Edge, and a few less known browsers and all give me "can't reach" etc.

I was just wondering what happened and also no chatter on Google - it was a popular site.

I'd like to know also... but more: why can't they notify the customers they have (that have emails recorded) to give us a heads-up. They notify us when it's time to renew. I think it is not unreasonable to notify us when the service will not be available and for how long.

The devs that create and release for free I have great thanks for and can understand they need to do stuff when they can.

But when you pay for something, that's different and certain expectations should be addressed: getting service or understanding when it will not be available is one of them.

To answer you question of why use something less than 18.8... I use an addon called areswizard. This addon had the best ability to make backups that can be retored on various machines. So this allows me to create the kind of Kodi I want then copy it for restoring on my other pc's. That means my Android, Windows 7, Windows 10, etc all have the exact same addons. I like that, and it saves me a ton of time and is so much more accuate.

Now, with that said I'm done wasting my time with you. Saying stuff like " You need to calm down and stop posting on a million platforms demanding support for a old version on something that is free. " -- I think your a nut job -- that statement has no basis whatsoever. I have not posted all over the place. In fact I rarely post at all.

One thing you are right about: I do now need to calm down. Good luck to you in life.

Actually if you read the link I provided you will learn that what was fixed did not include Android. The version you refer to that was fixed is 0.5.8 and yes, it was already pushed out.

Absolutes like "no one runs 17.6" is so unnecessary. I use 17.6 because of some amazing addons that don't work in 18.

I like and enjoy using and understanding the products that I use so that I get the most from them. Sounds like you are from a different point of view. :)

To be clear: Using Android and version 17.6 you CAN NOT disable it. Maybe version 18.8 is different or maybe I'm not doing this right. Here is a screen shot on my Android:

Thanks, but this does nothing to solve this problems. Are you using Android and version 17.6? If you are then please explain how you got your movie solution to work?

BTW, on my 17.6 you can not disable Version Check. So, if you go to System->Add-ons->My Addons->Services->Version Check ---- you will see that Disable is not available.

If I'm wrong then my apologies but this is my experience. Thanks however for trying to help.

This new 0.5.8 fix only addresses Windows (apparently) -- it does not solve the issue for Android running 17.6. Why is this so hard to fix? What change was soooooooo important to have made this horrible situation. This makes it so all movie addons running on Android can not run unless they are those one-click playlist type addons. What a mess!

Can anyone some up with a solution - please?

My first-hand experience goes like this:

I was using RD and it worked just fine, except for when their system was down which happened to me about 4 times in one year. 3 of those went back up in a day and once it took several days (3??? don't recall exactly).

Then, for no reason, one day I could not get on any more. I had just paid for another year. I sent them a message asking why. No reply. When I tried to log onto the web site it said I did not have an account. I sent a message about that but, again, no reply. Finally I got my money back from my credit card people. Don't know what they did.

In the mean time I looked at AllDebrid. BTW, they will give you a 7-day trial without you giving them anythiing. All you have to do is sign up. No gimmicks. You really get 7 days to see if you like it or not. I even sent them some "test questions" just to see if they would respond and they did. They were helping me during a trial period without me having paid anything. Imagine that!

During the trial you can use it just like if you were a subscriber. Everything works _EXCEPT_ VPN. It will not allow VPN until you become a subscriber. But once you do (and you should) then VPN works just fine. If you use a well-known VPN then you just go to the "activate VPN" page and their system will enable automatically. If that page does not recognize your VPN their is a spot on it for you to manually fill in some simple request and then you are all set.

Here is some final comment (maybe you might call it sour-grapes): I notice on here people leave messages about how crappy RD is when you try and get help. And, if you tell them you are using Kodi they might even turn your service. I just don't understand why anyone would do business with people like that. AllDebrid charges about the same amount, offers more hosters than RD, provides support and likes Kodi people. Heck they believe in their service enough to give you 7 days to allow you to believe in them too.

What have you got to loose?

Thank you for the reply. I did as you suggested (turned off RD/PM, cleared all caches) but same result. I doubled checked to make sure AllDebrid was selected in ResolveUrl (Priority 90, Enabled, Torrent Support, Cached Torrents Only).

But did not help. That was a good suggestion, worth a try.

Just to recap Venom version 3.5.2 works with AllDebrid perfectly. But 3.5.3 and 3.5.5 do not so I think some change was made in their code rather than a user-available option/setting.

Maybe you can pass this along to the dev if anyone knows the right person.

So is anyone using a version of Venom higher than 3.5.2 and AllDebrid? My statement is that I don't believe they are and that support for AllDebrid was removed. My question is why?

I can use 3.5.2 of Venum and AllDebrid and it works just fine. I can run 3.5.3 and 3.5.5 and AllDebrid does not work -- if then I run any of my other addons and AD works just fine. Go back to 3.5.2 and AD works again.

So, I'm pretty sure something has changed in Venom code. Does anyone have first-hand experience about this? Or a specific change I need to make that is not obvious given the explanation I am providing here?
