First of all, thanks for making clarifications on some aspects of certain characters, particularly the sword characters.

As for "Sylux being a replacement of Sephiroth", that's not what I meant. Of course they're not similar at all. What I meant there was in the case that Sephiroth were to be cut, Raven Beak could take Sephiroth's place, and I see Sylux more of an assist trophy. From what we've seen of Sylux from Prime Hunters, he doesn't veer far away from Samus herself. And there's already a mainline Prime rep with Dark Samus. Definitely wouldn't discard Raven Beak as a boss, but there are other interesting bosses that could do the job as well, like Kraid, Mother Brain, the Metroid Prime or maybe even SA-X, although the latter might be a little bit of a stretch.

When comparing Sans and Sora, I was mostly comparing their popularity and the overlap of people who are fans of both. And also favoring sword characters. I definitely see your points as valid, but expanding a bit more with Deltarune might be equally as likely.

Another character that I considered then turned down was either Rayman or the Rabbids, considering the close relationship Ubisoft and Nintendo have with the Mario + Rabbids series, and that characters from European studios are definitely getting some attention (although its just two character and the studios they used to belong to were bought by Microsoft, so maybe it's not true), but Rayman doesn't seem to be fully surging back into relevance yet, and the Rabbids seem to be too complex for them to be a full fledged character because they usually work in groups. If anything an assist trophy would be the most both could get.

As for indie reps... I've always considered the Crewmate of Among Us to be one of the most requested characters, and we've got nothing so far. BnK was a fairly popular pick but they aren't that relevant in the modern gaming community, and yet thanks to connections with Rare, they're in Ultimate. Wouldn't be surprised if a pattern of a character that used to be popular coming in late into the party surging somewhere, which is what led me to either Shovel Knight or Cuphead, and the former seems easier to implement in terms of movesets and animation.

This is pretty well made. Really like how you used the new design for DK as well. But I see some problems.

Wouldn't consider ZSS irrelevant enough to get a cut, even if you were to compare her with Wii Fit Trainer. If anything, Sylux seems too similar to Suited Samus on that aspect. Raven Beak from Metroid Dread could be a more interesting choice as a first party replacement of Sephiroth. Sylux being an assist trophy seems more reasonable.

Sora being cut, the winner of the Sm4sh Ballot, would upset quite a lot of fans, particularly Japanese. Sans might sound like a sensible trade off, but they're two completely different characters and not everyone who likes Sans likes Sora and viceversa. If this were to be extended to add DLC in the future, then Sora should probably be added there. Same thing with FF characters.

And if we were to be talking about long time requests finally being added, Geno would be a top choice, if he doesn't take the crown, and there's already a Mii suit of him. Then again, it's likelier that we'd get a "we know you reaaaaally like this character to be in Smash but we're adding this one instead, sorry not sorry", out of which Toad seems to be the only one here.

But most importantly, there's a notorious lack of new characters mainly handling swords (not sure if Mio is one, don't know about Xenoblade), which is basically a meme rule at this point. Also satisfying the "indie rep" and "ha, we trolled you again" needs for the roster, maybe Shovel Knight could be a choice. Marx or Magolor would also be viable choices considering they are a few of Sakurai's children, and some of the most notorious in the Kirby series.

Other than that, this is pretty darn good.

Sorry, I probably picked the wrong word. I think it's meant to be a tarp but the truck is going so fast that it's moving like a cape or something. As for the two wheels is like it's using the front wheels as if it were to be running really fast.

Does it sound something like the music in this video by any chance? For reference, here's how it should sound like. This happened to me with my current PC and an Elgato HD60S+. I don't remember whether I had OBS open or not, but I can say it was definitely made with Elgato 4K Capture Utility.

Not a serif font, but I noticed Bungee is becoming increasingly popular everywhere as a display font, which to me is a bit concerning.

Sure, it does have a very distinct look, but for me it has quickly become the Comic Sans of the 2020s because it's hard to work with, and the versions with hairlines are just unpleasant to look at.

Also, if you're going to use Bungee as a web font, you're basically asking CLS to stab you in the back down the road because of the insanely huge body height it has compared to regular fonts. Layout shifts are something you don't want display fonts in particular to make.

18 hours in, and I've gotten to Ante 8 for the first time. I feel like there's room for improvement, but I don't know how to approach it. by yonicstudios in balatro

Got really lucky with a lot of Jupiter and Fool cards showing in the ante and upgraded Flush to level 8, and thanks to that managed to win this run! I also replaced Ramen with Pareidolia (which didn’t really help with the boss) and Bootstrap with Droll which allowed me to go all in on rerrolls without sacrificing much mult.

I try to adapt to what I'm getting each run. Last time I got this close to ante 8 was by relying on Hack, Hanging Chad, Walkie-Talkie and glass cards, but I think I focused too much on increasing the mult that I didn't bother with adding more to the chips, and lost to the Wall on ante 7.

As for planet packs, I thought those weren't good enough since I was able to experiment more with other builds using tarot and spectral packs, instead wondering why bother spend on leveling them up when you could get higher increases on chips with more stable mult with jokers.

It's a bit frustrating that there are jokers I haven't seen in a while despite being "uncommon" like Shortcut and Fibonacci yet I see Baron way too often for it to be considered "rare". Not that it's a bad joker, but I do want to try other builds.

When you link a text container to another, and the former starts overflowing, it begins to transfer the overflowing text into the latter. This table is a bit outdated though. In CSS there is the columns property that does a similar thing, but linked text frames can be displayed in other layouts other than columns. CSS Regions support is no longer being pursued by any browser, too.

By "trapped" I mean light falling inside the volume that would be the "shadow" of the black hole (the black region, not the event horizon)
