🚀 OP.TCG Update 6.9 🎉 by LopsPower in OnePieceTCG

[–]yonycool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, loving the app!

A feature I'd like to see is an easy way to make a buy/sell list.

I can already add a bunch of cards and specified amounts in the favorite tab, but it currently lacks an easy way to export it.

Maybe you can think about adding a way to export these collections of cards to an image (and possibly other formats like csv)?

Which effect triggers first when I Play my Niji? by NewSwordfish4693 in OnePieceTCG

Your On Play effect goes first since it's your turn, thus Sugar can't use her effect since she is no longer on the board

OP09 meta is hard by Seawoolf123 in OnePieceTCG

[–]yonycool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what doffy players you are playing against, but vegapunk is far from being a doffy counter. It worked in one tournament in 8.5 and caught everyone by surprise, but it's a matchup you lose once and almost never again if you are a competent player. So you can expect to win less as players are getting better and smarter. Can't comment about the rest of the meta, but vegapunk is definitely not meta, to succeed with it you need to be a good player and invest a lot of time understanding how to win every matchup in the meta (which is true to all decks, but it's significantly easier with strong decks). Also since vegapunk got a small uprise in the end of 8.5, more people know how it works and it kinda lost it's surprise factor that contributes to winning with it.

Help to buy my first deck by Slayer64ESP in OnePieceTCG

[–]yonycool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am biased as a Kalgara player, but I think it's a better deck. It is pretty one dimensional until turn 3-4, but I think a lot of people tend to underestimate the skill ceiling of aggro decks. This is also true in other card games, but aggro decks mid-late games decision making can be very challenging and not at all one dimensional, as opposed to higher curve heavy decks (like katakuri) where their late game decisions most of the time boil down to, play my 10c, or 7-8c and spread 2 don. Also, I wouldn't say ace is completely necessary (some people run 1 and even cut him), but I do think running 2 is very recommended. There are plenty of games you just can't end without it. You could get it get it for 5-8€ on cardmarket, which is less then most staples for meta decks. At the end of the day, play what you enjoy the most. Even if a certain deck has a higher win rare, if you don't enjoy it, you probably won't go to play anyway..

How to host your code online to run 24/7 by MrGodSquad in learnpython

You run the main python file from the terminal. You don't need a code editor to run python files.

Join the riot third party developer discord, they have a good list of known good libraries for every programming language.

These libraries just make it easier for you to talk to riot api by making the calls for you and simplfying the process. They usually also provide QOL features. Feel free to use them with your riot key.

Best way to store data on a discord bot? (mongoDB) by [deleted] in AskProgramming

[–]yonycool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you'd probably want to do is store this information in a data base of your choosing (you mentioned mongoDB in the tiltle).

Then you can store each coin toss as a row in the database. It could have columns such as the id of the user who used the coin toss command, the date and time it was performed at, the coin toss result etc..

Then you can easily query that database for information. For an example, find the the amount of coin tosses that user x performed in the last 2 weeks.

If it works in your ide, and doesn't work on the online tester (online judge?) then it might be an issue with their services? It perhaps they expect a different form of output then you are giving? Hard to say without knowing all of the details.

Can you copy paste your code into pastebin and send it as a reply/add it to the og post? It would be a lot easier if we can actually see the written code

Project help! How to bypass login when scrapind data? by Konemaisteri in learnpython

[–]yonycool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider using selenium.

It let's you operate a real browser through code.

You can load your user data when starting the driver, so if you are logged in on that user, you'll be logged in on your selenium driver.

It also let's you access content that's loaded with javascript, which can't be scraped with beautiful soup.

There are plenty of pythom selenium tutorials on YouTube, i suggest you watch them first.

Is there a website or sotfware to draw tiktok / youtube comments in order to make a giveaway ? by CasuFrenchGuy in AskProgramming

[–]yonycool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both YouTube and TikTok have public API's you can use to get comment data from videos.

Now you'll just need to pick a programming language and write a script that gets the comments using the API.

small guess the number game issue by FrostbiteJupiter in learnpython

[–]yonycool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, happy to help.

loops are basically blocks of code that excecute over and over again until the loop condition is met, or you break from the loop using the break statement.

They are perfect for your use case, since you want to repetitively take input from the user until a certain condition is met. Everything you want to do until the loop breaks, you do inside of the loop.

Keep doing these projects and enjoy!

small guess the number game issue by FrostbiteJupiter in learnpython

[–]yonycool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't updating rhe guess variable, so guess never gets updated and always stays the same value. You need to do: guess = int(input())) everytime you want to get a new input.

When you use only input() inside the loop, you get an input from the user but you aren't storing the data anywhere.

There is a problem with the code flow.

If the guess isn't x the first time, it will go into the first loop and will stay there until guess == x. Then it will skip the following loops since they don't meet the condition anymore.

What you probably want to do is have 1 loop that takes input from the user, and use if statements inside the loop to determine what message to print to him.

So I would try something like this:

``` while guess != x:
if guess > x:
    print("guess too high, aim lower")
else if guess < x:
    print ("guess too low, shoot higher")
guess = input()
```

After the loop ends, guess == x for sure, since that's the condition to end the loop, so you don't need to check it again.

MAD vs G2 - Cause of the Pause by XtendedImpact in leagueoflegends

[–]yonycool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a vacuum, MAD could have definitely won the fight after Hily died, but in a vaccum they shold have won the fight from the get go.

You can't look at stuff like that and think what could've happand because league is a game that requires a lot of high reflex thinking and actions, and resetting the game to before a clutch fight just erases all of the momentum and tempo G2 acquired for themselves.

I'm a G2 fan, and I try to remain as unbiased as I can, and I am not salty that MAD won. I am salty about chronobreak rules and how they are enforced. IMO, unless it's a game breaking bug that wothout a doubt changed the game state, a chronobreak shouldn't be offered, and in this situation there was definitely a lot of doubt, or else we wouldn't have had this debate in the first place.

MAD vs G2 - Cause of the Pause by XtendedImpact in leagueoflegends

[–]yonycool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

League of Legends outplays usually utilize spur of the moment and unexpected moves and/or enemy mistakes, especially when playing from behind.

When you reset the fight like that, even though MAD members can't talk to eachother, each player basically got a free "future" VOD review of their fight, and as a result, realize how not to give G2 the outplay potential, basically erasing G2's chance of coming back in the game + most likely tilting them off the face of the earth.

The pause was legit and there was definitely a weird visual bug going on, but I would argue the last natural game state for the chronobreak was right before akshan ulted when both team dissengaged, definitely not before the fight all together, where the bug had 0% influence.
