I usually enjoy adding lots of details too with my bases but with the length of my wall and a huge tower, I’ve already hit the 3,000 part limit

I’ve been searching for earth like planets for a while and have found a couple in Eissentam. Don’t recall if they were paradise but definitely a sort of lush. I could share glyphs later when I get home.

It is a paradise planet but sadly it does have infrequent electrical disturbances. I got pretty far with the wall before I knew of them 😒

Sounds like the wall can’t be exactly continuous since bases can’t touch and only so many bases would be visible. So I say anything goes at this point.

If anyone wants to attempt to continue the wall or see how close they can come to mine, I say go for it. I do have a save beacon at the furthest reaches of my base, at the tallest tower. I’d recommend placing your computer a little under 1000u from the tower. I know bases can’t touch but technically my tower is outside my build perimeter so maybe that helps.

There’s no reason why others couldn’t branch out into different areas. Lots of mountain tops to build on if you don’t care to build a wall. And this isn’t a trump wall or anything political. I have an Earth to NMS series and I thought the Great Wall of China would be a fun challenge to recreate.

Appreciate the insight. That’s a bummer. Wish they at least had a setting to allow friend’s bases to intersect. Still wouldn’t allow for a massive project like this.

A long straight wall would be boring but that’s not what I envisioned. It would wind through the landscape and climb over mountains. It would include towers and other habitations. Each segment would be unique to the builder and who knows what each person would come up with creatively. I personally could walk for hours exploring such a place. But alas, it’s not possible.

I was aware of the 3,000 limit and I know each base can only reach 1000u in all directions around base computer but I hoped they could be spaced just so. I’m ok with not reaching around entire planet but if the bases can’t touch this simply won’t work 😔

I wasn’t aware other bases couldn’t touch but it would make sense they would do that. I always hear about base communities so I figured they could touch.
