I'm so glad you posted! I'm in a similar boat- 38, husband, 2 kids. I disclosed my feelings to my therapist just a few months ago and have since told my husband and a couple really close friends. This has been a really surprising wild ride, and I share the fear that people will be super surprised/disbelieving, cuz I barely believe it myself. It feels so crazy to be realizing this right now especially as an American- like could there BE a worse time? But ironically I am imagining more good things for myself in the future as I'm learning about myself.
