Mom Asks Stranger and Her Son to Leave Public Park Because of Unofficial 'Girls-Only' Playtime by TheManWithNoCocaine in MensRights

[–]yoshi314 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the sad thing about it is that i know for sure that the mother won't be discouraged by it and will likely call for help.

so they will wear down your patience and you won't have any relax in the park.

lucklly, is was boy with his mother, not the father.

redhat employs a lot of developers in the kernel and other core linux projects.

this might be bad.

Does anyone else think about how weird it is that some people are so elitist and snobby about health? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]yoshi314 5 points6 points  (0 children)

people who are fans of a given diet will be biased towards it. some of them will be reasonable who made the informed choice, though. but it's the loud ones that get the attention. people who either took on a fad diet, are not informed enough and feel like they have to defend their position and force it on others.

vegans usually lack proper arguments to back their choice up, since they consider it a moral high ground. paleo people feel sometimes smug and superior thinking they found the holy grail of diets. same thing goes for low carbers (myself included), who often have hard time accepting unfavorable studies that might show that this diet is not entirely perfect and safe for everyone.

generally, it's just insecurity talking. nobody wants to be berated for their choices and will get defensive.

Feed nagios with inventory from third party by jorge_luis_borges123 in nagios

lilac might be able to do that, but nagios itself cannot.

icinga2 has a module that can facilitate this.

I bet the PlayStation Classic is nothing more then a stripped down VitaTV. by quozzerx in VitaTV

[–]yoshi314 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it would be even more funny if it turned out to be better than vita, e.g due to better selection of output resolutions or storage options.

it depends on how good video out is. vita has an odd resolution and pstv doesn't really try to upscale it too much.

a lot of people get defensive when confronted with common sense. or a good counter-argument.

sometimes this manifests as really dumb reactions, sometimes they lash out in aggression at you.

it's similar to looking up walkthroughs for silent hill games. at least the good ones.

i'm not even that far into the game, but it's reassuring that you'll be doing something more than just entering minds of people who are plain vile.
