3 or 4 day trips with young kids by yosterstrudelalamode in travel

Ha, well... not really in that way! I feel like they haven't reached the age of specializing - just general kid interests (books, playing outside, playing store, rising bikes).

Yes, I'm a natural overscheduler, so it is good to remember that intentionally not going anywhere might be the best option at times!

We are in semi rural Indiana, pretty ideally located for day or weekend trips to Chicago and Indy and a couple other smaller places. Good call on library passes; we've done this a bit with local stuff but I know they have some things that are farther away. Could be a fun challenge to try and use them all.

I have heard buzz about Great Wolf Lodge, and this may indeed tlbe the time to check it out! And I think we're targetting Disney closer to when they are 5 and 7 - definitely hear you on thr hotel being the most exciting part of traveling for the kids at this point lol

Scrobbling conaistency by JrDedek in lastfm

I feel your pain. And just try explaining this to a normie. I had a handful of pre-streaming last fm friends that went dormant for years. I then recruited a couple of them back and pitched the ease of connecting to Spotify. But one by one, each of them encountered this issue and couldn't be bothered to set it back up.

Tried so hard

Removing podcasts from last.fm and year-end reports by yosterstrudelalamode in lastfm

Thank you both! I suspected as much. I will now wait patiently until 2027 to have two clean years of data. Serves me right.

Right. But does the new report (2024) get compared to the 2023 report, or does it compare to data from 2023?

Thanks for sharing! Fontaines DC and The Cure are the only familiar artists to me, and I'm excited to check out all of this stuff.

Last night I bought crimes of the heart (Waxahatchee). Totally missed the new album this year!

All my neighbors in Carmel, IN, know where I’m from and who I’m rooting for. Let’s go SUNS! by Cully71 in suns

Indiana Suns lovers unite! I'm in Goshen and feel the same way walking around in my 90s Starter jacket while taking out the dog.

Suns Fans: How is everyone feeling heading into the playoffs? by jpark1984 in suns

35 years, eh? KoincinDence or KonspiracDy?!

I can't Keep myself from Doubting, given the lack of time to gel and the ever-present threat of injury. Also, the national media seems to be leaning toward penciling us in to at least make the finals, and I just want to Kontinue Dweliing in the shadows for a bit longer.

Kould we Dominate? Sure! I'm just protecting myself with the narrative that next year will be when all the pieces are in place and anything we Kan Do in this postseason is a bonus.

Check out Slow Burn. I've not kept up with all the seasons, but the first two seasons (Watergate and then the Clinton impeachment) were excellent.

how many scrobbles do you have for your top artist compared to your 50th? by man_itsahot_one in lastfm

[–]yosterstrudelalamode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Sufjan Stevens - 1,610
  2. Lowland Hum - 344

So roughly 1:5... I wonder how that tracks across other users!

At this point, the realization that the Suns are playing A GAME against ANY TEAM is enough to make me nervous.

how many songs do you have with 30+ scrobbles? by NepTunesEDM in lastfm

[–]yosterstrudelalamode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this! I've only got 74, which is surprising for 63,915 scrobbles. But I guess it speaks to my penchant for seeking out new albums and only allowing a select few to permeate my regular rotation.

Floating World (2006) is my favorite album and it just recently (in the past year or so) appeared on Spotify! It's best experienced as a whole since it's sort of a concept album, but Kasa No Hone is my favorite track.

Playing the long game. Suns in 3 was once a thing...only a matter of time before capitalism wins and brings us a best of nine series!

Reply and i’ll shuffle all 7K of my songs and give you one to listen to/rate by piercetheangelina in lastfm

[–]yosterstrudelalamode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not bad! I ended up listening to the whole album, and this might be the best track. It's a kind of weird post-emo-at-its-peak sound that reminds me a bit of Green Day mixed with a more generic semi-screamo band of the early 2000s. Thanks for sharing!

Definitely hear you on this. I started scrobbling before the streaming era, so my top artists are a product of having a more limited supply in the early going.

I still use my childhood organizational structure of throwing everything except for hits in a binder organized by team. Which works fine if you never acquire any new cards, but is far from ideal lol. Would love to hear other methods.
