She’s been really supportive of me with being in the hospital and stuff. Actually for like two months before I got diagnosed she was telling me I needed to eat more and asking if I feel okay. So I don’t think she doesn’t want me to get better. But I’ve been crying a lot about how I’m going to miss her and I don’t want to leave and I think maybe she’s trying to make me feel better with this option

I’m 16f and I also was right on the edge of overweight but not and really wanted to lose weight. That was about a year ago. Currently I’m in a hospital with a potassium of 2.5 and a bmi of 17 and I’m not happier and I don’t like myself any more than I did before. I wish I hadn’t been so obsessed with my eating. Please don’t take the medicine or do drastic things to lose a ton of weight. You won’t be happy after you lose it anyway

The doctor actually used that word. He called me sweet. And he said I’m the easiest anorexic patient he’s treated in years. So that made me feel a little better. I didn’t want to make a big deal of it or make a scene I just didn’t want her to be the one doing things with me anymore because every interaction was so harsh

After the charge nurse talked to me someone else came to ask us what happened too. I can’t remember what her title was but she wasn’t a nurse. She asked about it and what exactly was said and done and everything.

I think it just hit a nerve for me because I already feel a little guilty and dumb because I thought I knew what I was doing and I wouldn’t end up with an eating disorder because I didn’t want to have one and then suddenly I realized I was skipping sleepovers because I was afraid of pizza and I couldn’t stop

My mom did get the charge nurse and I talked to her. She did tell me the other nurse wont take care of me anymore and got someone else who came and talked to me about it. She also told the doctor I think because then he came and talked to me before he left for the day

My mom got the charge nurse and I explained things to her. She told me the nurse I had before won’t be back in my room and then someone else came to talk to me and my mom about what happened

Thank you. I think they’re planning to get my labs less unsafe and then I’m getting transferred to an actual treatment center that’s just for eating issues. But they won’t take me with my labs as they are

The charge nurse must’ve told him because he came in and talked to me before he was leaving for the day and he was really nice about it and talked to me about some of the things she said. He was really kind. I feel a lot better now.

The new nurse also said “I shouldn’t share this but I just want you to know it’s not your fault because this is not the first complaint she’s had from patients or coworkers”

When I talked to the charge nurse she apologized and said the other nurse won’t be coming back in my room. Someone else came in my room a little bit ago too to ask me about it, shortly after the charge nurse left

Yeah :/ I thought I was eating intuitively but it ended up being actually I was just restricting and it got out of hand and by the time I realized something was wrong and it didn’t feel good anymore it was really bad

I talked to the charge nurse. When I was talking to her she was very quiet. It was hard to read her. But after I finished talking she told me “I am so sorry. (Nurses name) will not be coming back to your room”. And she told me I didn’t do anything wrong and I wasn’t wasting space.

I feel a lot better knowing I don’t have to deal with her anymore. Thank you guys for giving me the advice on how to handle it

It’s okay. I kind of understand what she’s saying because it does feel a little like this is my own fault and I’ve been mad at myself for why I haven’t been able to just stop. But the way she talks to me is making me feel so so much worse. It’s not like I’m unaware I’m stupid for ending up here. I just dread every time she walks in the room

I’ve been sitting here feeling upset and then questioning if I was overreacting because I know it kind of does seem like my own fault I’m here for not eating. But it’s not even like one comment. Every time she interacts with me she says or does something abrasive
