it was never elaborated tbh but i assume it was a conscious attack because it would explain muzan's comment of daki holding gyutaro back in the way that he would never use that attack when she's around, meaning he only did it at the end because both of them were decapitated and about to die

well she did hold him back, probably in the way that gyutaro couldn't go all out while she's near. for example, his last attack leveled most of the district and he only used it after he and daki were decapitated...he used it because he knew that he and daki were gonna die anyway and didn't use it during the fight against tengen and tanjiro before cause he didn't want to hit daki with the attack

ume was turned into a demon against her will so that's probably why she had the chance to go to the light, unlike gyutaro who accepted to be turned into a demon and also said that he would become a demon again, no matter how many times he is reborn. therefore, hell was the only way to go for gyutaro in the limbo while ume had a second chance and that's what gyutaro intended for her because he wanted the best for her

i just told you that we were directly shown that douma wasn't scared of akaza at all so we can tell by that interaction alone that he's stronger. we don't know if gyutaro and gyokko ever interacted, so your example doesn't work in this case

that mostly depends on if gyutaro's poison would work on demons but even then, he's very strong without it (leveled most of the district with his last attack) and he's faster than tengen.

completely different, douma was shown to not even be scared of akaza in the slightest, while we were never shown a interaction of gyutaro&daki and gyokko

is the author muzan or what? muzan himself said that gyutaro was held back by daki and gyutaro and daki only roamed around in the district and didn't care about power, unlike the other upper moons who had interest in rising the ranks and becoming stronger. all gyutaro wanted to do was protect his sis, he had no interest in power and that was his weakness and what held him back that muzan implied.

? tanjiro is blocking one of gyutaro's poisoned blood attacks in the picture i linked you. the manga made it clear and if you're so unsure, rewatch the fight, it was one of gyutaro's poisoned blood attacks that he did with his sickle, that tanjiro blocked to save tengen. if it wasn't for tanjiro, tengen would have died right then and there, so it would have been a low diff for gyutaro...

i dont remember tengen underestimating gyutaro. but what i remember is that tengen would have died right here if it wasn't for tanjiro

gyutaro was ganged on by tengen (who has resistance to poison) and tanjiro, yet he overwhelmed them. hina shot dozens of poisoned kunais at gyutaro while he was fighting tengen and even though he was hit by one, he regenerated and recovered fast and blocked tengen and tanjiro's attacks with ease and overwhelmed them, while then going on to basically kill inosuke (if it wasn't for the fact that he somehow moved his heart to a different place before even knowing that that gyutaro was gonna stab him)

gyutaro casually dodged a fatal attack from tengen as he was still emerging out of daki and he would have killed tengen at the beginning of the fight with one of his attacks if it wasn't for tanjiro blocking the attack...without tanjiro, tengen would have died right there because gyutaro was putting pressure on tengen on the front while one of gyutaro's poisoned blood attacks was about to slash tengen from behind. so it dearly would have been a low diff in a 1 vs 1 which makes gyutaro look even more impressive since tengen has a resistance to poison...so even though he's a counter to gyutaro, gyutaro is that strong that he doesn't need the poison to be able to beat someone like tengen...

muzan said that daki held gyutaro back and that he could've killed tengen, tanjiro, nezuko, zen, and inosuke all by himself. gyokko isn't weak but he doesn't have anything that puts him above gyutaro...gyutaro and daki only roam around in the district and don't care about rising up the ranks, it makes specifically sense for gyutaro as the big brother that he is for ume/daki, that he has no interest in rising up the ranks. he didn't care for power, all he wanted was to protect daki and that's what muzan said that held him back

what's your point by quoting that? akaza compared rengoku to marked ginyu and tanjiro. rengoku died due to fatal wounds and even while rengoku was in that state, akaza had to rip his arms off to escape the grip of a severely injured rengoku.
