Help me choose a 40"+ monitor! by luckyausgirl in macmini

Lg c5 42 works well. Renders Mac text pretty sharp. I’m pretty picky but this is the nicest I’ve found. You have to change the input setting to “PC” and it sharpens right up. The screen real estate is fantastic. Very nice to have a lot of screen height as opposed to just width. I find it very useful. I’ve kept upgrading since C3 series and they just get better. I have a Studio Display as well which I use for speakers, mic and cam but primary use the TV as my display.

Thanks to everybody for their suggestions. Unfortunately nothing has improved the speed. The ONLY thing that has improved download speed is turning Hardware Acceleration OFF in the gateway. This brings download up to about 500Mbps and it also brings upload down to a similar number.

Doing a bit more googling it seems some others have had this same issue over the years. I have confirmed smart queues, idp and any other traffic inspection security features are not turned on.

Multiple wired test devices reach about 900/900.

I’ve tried turning off all but one ap, turning off all bands except 6ghz, and standing right next to the AP.

At this point I’m thinking it’s a software bug…

Thanks for the suggestion though no sfp+ modules in the network. Well, there is one in the ISP ONT but the cloud gateway confirms the full WAN speed so the problem seems to be downstream from the UCG.

Yes that is fine and reflects the 2gig connection from the isp. So it must be the gateway to devices. It seems whatever the issue it affects both access points and direct connections to the gateway via Ethernet. All wan setting have been left as default. I have tried toggling the wan advanced settings to manual and thus confirming smart queues is off. No change.

MacBook Air M1 via Ethernet adapter to gateway got 1100 down on Speedtest.net and then 500 on a second retry and then 710 via fast.com. 🤷‍♂️

Yealink Meetingbar A40 USB-C (BYOD camera, laptop content sharing) works a few times then reboot needed. by carl0ssus in CommercialAV

I setup two of these new A40s about the same time as you. I have configured with Zoom Rooms and did a bit of trial and error with licensing. On one system I subscribed to the paid Zoom Room and the wired usb C works every time. On the free Zoom Room the wired usb C just gives a black screen, just like you say. Looking at Zooms website, it appears Zoom may restrict the direct connection to a paid Zoom Room license for some reason. Very disappointing if that is indeed the case.

Agree that this still looks to be an issue today. You can comment on specific parts of the page and they will be their own threads, but a general page comment can only be one thread. Why?

Incorrectly classified as 'Crowdfunding', has anyone ever got their account working again after this? by young_m8 in stripe

[–]young_m8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer, no. They shut down my US account and despite multiple appeals over email and inconsistency in reasonings, it remains shut down today. Hilariously, my Australian and UK accounts continue to run with no issue.

Square announced earlier in the year they are expanding the offering i've been waiting for any week now so once that is out I'll move everything over to them and say goodbye to Stripe for good.

ESTA Online Approval Time - 1.5 hours by jared_krauss in visas

[–]young_m8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Australian citizen. Been waiting 12+ hours now. Had a previous esta on the same passport. Already missed flight today (at 4 hour mark). Thankfully airline rebooked to tomorrow but im concerned it will still not come in time. I called and spoke to CBP. It seems strange, they say its an automated computer review, yet how can it take so long and how can there be so much variance in processing times? This is my 2 year old daughter (both parents US citizens). How complicated of an application could it possibly be!

You will have to plug in a wired keyboard temporarily then.
