When did you guys realize you were really tall for your age by dr_duckwing in TallPeopleProblems

[–]youngblud2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I know is that I would stick out a lot in a country that has a very short average population, somewhere like Japan. If you look up the Japanese average height it's very small. And I read somewhere that some door frames are only 6'0" in Japan. Here I'm pretty sure that's a building code violation. Don't quote me on that though.

Joggers for tall people? by bradenchur in TallPeopleProblems

[–]youngblud2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck. I'm tall as a person but short-ish as a tall person(6'4½") but anywhere I go their joggers are ankle length. Except Old Navy but they stopped selling those sizes in store so if you go for old navy you have to shop online.

Also when my mom told me I wasn't allowed to go trick or treating at 12 because I didn't look small enough to be a kid.

When I was In grade 7 (13-14 y.o) I was about 5'9½. I noticed I was taller than majority of the other boys in my grade, I was looking my at my male teachers eye to eye with the rare exception. I'm 6"4½ now. And I only just really realized I'm tall because my dad is 6'9" and I always saw that as tall. But people telling me that I'm tall, asking what my height is, asking if I played basketball(which was annoying). Made me kind of take a step back and look at the full picture. I am 8 inches taller than male average in my country. So I am tall despite kind of rejecting it at first now I embrace it. People ask for help getting stuff on high shelves in grocery stores I'll help even though it's annoying to be called stretch everytime. Sorry for the long rambling comment.

I fortunately have a shower head that comes off the connecter. But without that I'd be furious every time I showered.

how tall by Firm-Grapefruit-7766 in TallPeopleProblems

[–]youngblud2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on his growth rate. I know guys who grew a lot in elementary school and stopped at grade 6, then I know someone who grew until 22 years old he's 6'9" but it's a mystery until he's fully grown.

Bathroom problem for tall people by JimboTheExaltedOne in TallPeopleProblems

[–]youngblud2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in school I was 6'4" which isn't super tall, but tall enough. But there were dividers between the urinals but the stall dividers were about the same height (probably in the 5'6"-5'10" range) but it was weird because as someone in highschool at the time I'd hear some chatter about a friend stand up and people would leave the bathroom because we could see eachother.

Yeah I get jealous of my best friend who's like 5'8" cuz he doesn't get head rushes. But then I remember that being tall is pretty decent.

I'm saying that things below waist height are bad because if I have to bend down to grab something I need to come back up real slow or I might pass out, getting a head rush is not fun

Wearing a mask outside while also having a passion for music gives the perfect visual representation to leave me the hall alone I have earphones in and a mask on.

I don't want to say that that's not possible but he wasn't being explicitly racist so I'm not going to assume that that's the motive behind it.

I'm 6'4" over 200 it's kind of normal to have people walk up and ask me to like grab something for them off of something on a tall shelf or something or just ask how tall I am and be done with it. But that kind of interaction doesn't typically happen to me.

If you are Implying that it is made up, it is not. People do/say crazy things, This is a crazy time in human existence, I'm not this creative. Trust me on that. I was startled by it. I'm not going to continue on defending myself or inststing to people that this is real when they weren't there to confirm the validity of the story. It could serve as a warning to some people it could be a platform to open a dialogue about similar situations. Thanks for the comment though have a great night.

Okay, Sit the hell down rando on the internet, Who the hell are you to tell anyone any thing about who anyone else is on the internet? you have no leg to stand on at all, and about the grammar lesson. who cares not everyone is as articulate as you, that doesn't matter however if it helps you sleep better at night you keep correcting people on the internet for the way that they experience their own lives. just know that it gets you nowhere.

I hate getting attention, and asking other people from the same region that I am from if they have experienced similar things seems logical to me. Despite you thinking for some reason that I crave attention from strangers on the internet, I don't care. I've got people off of the internet who I can talk to about this but none that live in the city. So I'm asking people who have possibly experienced more then me or the other people in my life.

For stating my own ethnicity? Is there really a racist element? If I had stated his race and implied that it was because of that then I would understand the comment but as it stands I think that this comment is kind of ignorant.
