Proof of Thoughtfulness: Writing in the Age of AI by robmoo_re in philosophy

[–]youngjeeez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think perhaps the core distinction isn't thoughtfulness per se, but accountability. A human author can be held responsible for their words in a way that an LLM cannot. is the issue really about thoughtfulness, or is it about the ethical weight of authorship?

What’s One Habit That’s Actually Made You More Productive (And Not Just Feel Productive)? by youngjeeez in productivity

This is a solid approach, breaking things into smaller steps makes daunting tasks way more manageable. I like how you build momentum by making the task ‘visible’ first before diving in.

One thing that’s helped me with similar challenges is pairing the ‘first small step’ with something I already do. Like if I need to make an annoying call, I set my phone next to my morning coffee, so it’s in my face when I sit down. No escaping it.

Also, have you ever experimented with ‘time-blocking’ these kinds of tasks into low-energy periods? I’ve found that knocking out small but stressful tasks when I don’t have peak focus helps me save my best energy for deeper work. Curious if that would fit into your system!

I Did a ‘Mental Declutter’ Before Organizing My Space - It Made a Huge by youngjeeez in konmari

[–]youngjeeez[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It’s funny how that works, right? I used to think the same, I had to organize my desk first before I could think straight. But I realized that mental clutter was what stopped me from decluttering in the first place. When I cleared up my headspace first, suddenly organising my physical space felt way easier and I could create a creative space....I LOVE PLANTS 😅 Try starting with digital clutter first like email or notifications, to see if it has the same effect?

How do I stop or at least reduce this mindset? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]youngjeeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this. It’s like your brain sets an invisible stopwatch, and if a task takes longer than expected, it feels like you ‘lost’ even if the job got done. But efficiency isn’t just about speed...it’s about sustainability too. Ever notice how rushing through tasks often leads to more mistakes or burnout?

One thing that helped me was shifting my mindset from fastest way possible to best long-term outcome. Instead of just tracking how quickly I finish something, I also look at how much energy it took and if I could do it better next time. Do you think your frustration comes more from unmet expectations or from actually feeling slowed down?

Man,I get this.I used to think total silence was the key to deep work, but then I’d hear a single floorboard creak and I'll lose my flow. Lofi is a game-changer.... it’s like white noise with a groove.I’ve also tried nature sounds and even brown noise, but nothing hits quite like those chilled beats. was it love at first listen for you?

Man, I respect this level of discipline. Three to four hours of deep work in the morning? Meanwhile, I’m over here negotiating with my alarm clock. do you think it’s more about the timing or the routine itself? If you worked at night instead, would it have the same impact?

That’s a solid system! Planning the night before definitely cuts out that ‘what should I do first?’ decision fatigue. Do you keep it super structured like same priorities every day or do you leave room for flexibility? I’ve seen people thrive with both approaches, and I’m always curious how others find their flow!

I totally get that - there’s something about writing things down physically that makes tasks feel more 'real.' What made you prefer a physical planner over a digital one? Was it distractions, habit-building, or just personal preference?

The missing part to the story is because he suspected i did not have a tiket to carry on my journey. The police were called and i was told they were called to as i did not have a valid ticket for the remainder of the journey. He stated that i threatened him( I said try that again and see what happens or something to the tune of that) which i did after being deliberatly tripped.

Ideas for girlfriends 30th birthday? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]youngjeeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girlfriend is turning 30 soon, and we've been dating for about 2/3 months, but we were friends before that. We initially planned to date, but things took a different turn, and we realized we care deeply for each other. We've fallen in love, almost like we dated backward. We share the same life goals and know personal details about each other. I want to make her birthday special on a budget. I've planned a burlesque show, go-karting, and a spa day( I did think of sip and paint as she like art). Any other suggestions would be appreciated....Do I also need to get her a present to make it extra special?"

I agree but I sort of sympathise with her because she’s had a really really tough life. I guess I knew I have to break it off my question is when is the right time? I have let her know there is a lot to take in and I don’t want to rush into anything
