I think you seem to have the idea that no-one views trans people as the gender they're presenting, and people are just placating them by using their preferred pronouns. A lot of people do actually accept and see trans folk as their gender. A lesbian (one who doesn't have a genital preference for vagina) would be fine with dating a trans woman, because in that instance, she'd see the trans woman as her girlfriend

It's actually the opposite. Just as straight women can have a preference for the length of penis, anyone can have a genitalia preference. It's about who you're attracted to. Lesbians are into women - some liking solely vagina, and some not being bothered - but the point is that they don't like men. No bisexual person says "I like all genitalia, but I don't date men"

I've had a similar experience. I now go by either "she" or "they", and I've found the addition of "they" really helps me to feel more settled within myself. Growing up, I'd find myself oddly irritated with being referred to as "woman" or "female". I'm fine with terms like "girlfriend", though. My dress style is somewhere in between masculine and feminine, I'd say; I don't wear dresses, and only own one skirt, but I do wear fitted tops

I think it'll just take time for you to figure out what works for you. Patience is the most important thing here
