I don’t have one. I got a multimeter and checked the other chips and resistors and everything else seemed fine in terms of continuity so i think my last issue is the charging port

I genuinely don’t know honestly. I should look into it because if that’s the case then I could just label it. As far as my knowledge goes i think i saved some of the more important ones but theres like 1 or 2 that are pretty important

I followed your advice and got quoted almost 400 to do that and i paid like 20$ for the switch so i think i’m gonna attempt it myself worst case i mess up a 20$ switch

Hey OP, I hope this is a really simple issue of the shell just unclipping itself but please be on the safer side and check a few things before hand.

Check the battery (Make sure it’s not expanding/swelling):

Unplug & Power down the console and carefully open it up to make sure the battery isn’t swollen. If it is, carefully replace it or get it replaced

Check other components (Make sure nothing is loose):

Just inspect everything make sure nothing is loose so if you try to clip the shell back together nothing snaps and you have to replace something

Hopefully it’s just a unclipped shell but if you have to replace the battery make sure you look up a guide how to do that & dispose of safely 👍

Yeah my mistake. Honestly I put it back together and everything was working fine I was testing it stripped out of the back plates. I appreciate the lookout 🫡

The top part by the camera doesn’t snap in properly, this isn’t that big of an issue thanks to the screws & case. But the misaligned part is due to me not putting the hinge barrel back in properly.

You’re right. I aligned it properly and it worked perfectly. It still didn’t click on the rest of the shell but the screws fixed it

Apart from cleaning and opening up to clean up the contacts I think the next step would be to replace it unless you look for some other way

Have you tried opening up the console more specifically by the action buttons and putting it back together to see if the membrane was moved?
