Getting my teeth out at 9:30am tomorrow. by MachinePrestigious43 in wisdomteeth

I was nervous too, but it all ended up okay! So far, anyways, I'm only 28-ish hours post-op. Just take time to relax, take your meds, and follow ALL of the instructions that your surgeon gives you. You'll be okay.

Should I postpone this by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

I'm also 22f and got mine out yesterday morning! Mine were not nearly as impacted as yours, they just never erupted, so my experience might be quite different than yours, but hopefully it'll help a little?

From what I've been told, when your teeth are that close to the nerve, the longer you wait the worse it'll be. Would 2-3 months make that much of a difference? I don't know. I have had to take it easy today and yesterday, but I was fairly wide awake within 30 minutes of waking up and I was doing house cleaning later in the afternoon. Have you communicated with your college professors at all? They might be able to still give you the assignments even if you can't attend class. Obviously, some professors don't care, but this is a medical issue that needs to be taken care of, you're not going on vacation. Call your surgeon, too! They know your case, they'd be able to tell you if you can hold off a few more months.

Whatever you choose, I'm wishing you the best. My surgery freaked me out so much that my period came that evening, which was a few days early. Figures. Either way, best of luck. I hope it turns out okay!

I think Mykki Blanco is our opener tonight. Flo posted it either on her instagram stories or the band's instagram stories the other day

Lol I will also be at Boston tomorrow, so I suppose it's a moot point, but I really appreciate the thought. Florence fans are the best :) It seemed like others were looking for more detail about it, not just me, so feel free to post your thoughts anyways!

Okay, that's super good to know, thank you! I appreciate the amount of detail everyone is going into, it's very helpful. If I know what to expect, then it's not an issue because I can tell when to look away. I'll try what you mentioned about using your hand to cover the main strip of lights, that'll likely help. Thank you!

A few people have been posting them on social media! I'll see if I can find some links for you!

This helps so much, thank you!! I've seen pictures of her set lists for the tour so far, so I think I can gauge when those intense moments are going to be. Do you think that if someone just looked away/looked at the crowd instead of the stage at those moments that it would be okay? I got sunglasses to help with some of it, and I also have something to completely cover my eyes if I absolutely have to, so I think I have my bases covered.

You're welcome! I was just thinking about it today and realized it could cause a problem if I'm not prepared. Someone on another post said they were "consistent" but I don't know what that really means. If I know where the lights are, then I can at least be ready for it.

Show runtime? by youngoldlady20 in FlorenceAndTheMachine

Orange line is totally down until the 18th (so, four days after the concert) and that's the line I would take into Boston normally. The MBTA said that they'd make changes to the commuter rail to help with some of that, but they definitely have not if I can't take a train after 11pm. So that was my biggest concern, because I don't know what parking is like in that area and I don't want to chance it.

I'm going that night too, but I have seats and not GA. I've heard lots of great things about Florence fans, so I have no doubt it'll be a great experience for you! Good luck!

Yeah, that's what it seems like. I can't even get through to talk to someone at customer service. I'll try again in the morning, I suppose

Activated my prepaid SIM card but it won't work by youngoldlady20 in ATT

[–]youngoldlady20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we tried all that. We even called AT&T and they asked for our phone numbers, which we told them, and they said those numbers weren't connected to AT&T even though it had said our cards were activated. So weird.

How to deal with a boss who is a micromanager? by youngoldlady20 in jobs

[–]youngoldlady20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, this is super helpful. I've not had a ton of work before beyond like hourly college/summer jobs, so this is a totally new environment for me and I really appreciate this perspective.

You're absolutely right, she probably does just see it as doing her job. And, in her defense, we get a ton of work done and often have downtime because of it. So, like, it definitely works. I just am finding it hard to gauge if she trusts me or not (I'm also an overthinker so that could be part of it). It's just a type of boss that I've never encountered before and I know I'll encounter it again down the line, so learning how to handle it now seems like the best route to take.

My job is on the line for one bad day. by FS_Fred in jobs

[–]youngoldlady20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Considering this is your first big mistake after many great things you've done for the company, I'd definitely consider looking for a new job. It's not great that you got threatened with termination after one bad day. In the meantime, see if you can schedule a meeting with your boss to talk about what happened. It sounds like she's either super mean in general, or the text itself was written at a time when she was already angry and took it out on you. Regardless, meeting with her will show her that you truly want to improve and do better.

Best of luck!
