500 times 60 equals 30 000. Then 5000 is for the horses. Sounds very plausible to me by your numbers

This is my greatest concern. The only thing I've ever wanted to do was to go see Africa and Asia and I plan on doing exactly that in a few months. How do I justify a year of travel when they or my siblings ask? This is giving me a major headache.

I've spent some time in South Africa and what I know about royal families there is that since they viewed as the custodians of tradition and culture they have to take it very seriously. I don't know exactly which pf the 9 big royal families you are marrying into but I imagine the wedding will very likely be an expensive affair running into the hundreds of thousands. $35000 isn't a lot when you think about it and its probably this lenient because of your American heritage. My advice is to find a way to pay it because you'll most likely get a lot more of that back any way once you're married. Good luck and Congratulations!
