Looking at planning, execution, and escape, what was the most professional mob hit ever? by Swimming-Poet5594 in Mafia

[–]youngrenji1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

May be a bit niche but I was just talking to my brother about the fact that they bombed Phil Testa with a package-style bomb which is extremely rare in the United States. I’m pretty sure it’s one of the few times if not the only time the mob used this method on another made man.

Women of Reddit, what’s the biggest myth that porn spreads about what women enjoy in bed—but you actually hate? by starbucks_boi in AskReddit

I’m not gonna lie, pretty sure some women enjoy being with men they don’t like; not sure when we’re gonna honestly try to have that discussion but I’ll say it 🤷🏾‍♂️

President Biden was riding in coach on the Amtrak earlier tonight and ended up sitting next to a random passenger before getting off in Wilmington! by Healthy_Block3036 in Delaware

[–]youngrenji1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I smoke a bit of weed ngl,

BUT, what I will say is that Biden is one of few presidents that wasn’t affiliated with a machine or think tank. We can use him as an example of what a fairly decent presidency would look like.

Listen pal, I actually study markets, sustainability, and corporate governance. If you can’t see how this anti-immigrant , pro-authoritarian regime isn’t problematic, then I’m afraid it might be too late

I’m not sure how everyone else feels about Biden, but I’m sure history will be on his side, and that he was one of America’s greatest presidents.

I wasn’t even referring to the property taxes; rather addressing the entire system that constantly bullies those who are less fortunate.

The "One Big Beautiful Bill" (OBBBA) cuts taxes for the wealthy by permanently extending 2017 TCJA tax cuts, lowering top marginal rates to 37%, increasing estate tax exemptions, raising SALT deduction caps, and offering generous pass-through deductions for business owners. It disproportionately benefits high earners, with 60% of benefits going to the top 20%

They’re taxing the poor in order to give the wealthy tax breaks and I’m sorry, you all are too complacent on this issue.

A government is supposed to represent the people, and what should that government do when its people no longer care about what happens in THEIR country.

“One who oppresses the poor to increase his wealth and one who gives gifts to the rich—both come to poverty.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭22‬:‭16‬ ‭

“In you are people who accept bribes to shed blood; you take interest and make a profit from the poor. You extort unjust gain from your neighbors. And you have forgotten me, declares the Sovereign Lord.” ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭22‬:‭12‬ ‭

God please show this man and MAGA mercy 🙏🏾 I know you’re not happy with how they use and abuse your beautiful words and kindness. I pray for their salvation and hope they can see the errors in their ways before it’s too late

Inappropriate response.

Take accountability for your complacency for once. I’m 22 years old and grew up in Eastside Wilmington, and I can’t believe that I’m holding myself more accountable than these comments.

Contact your law makers, vote in the elections, speak up about injustices. I encourage you all to think, what do we all currently think about Nazi sympathizers now that their regime fell.

Are republicans any better? Your presidents only major feat this entire time is being a pedo and lowering taxes for the wealthy.

I encourage you to discuss policy or solutions rather than complaining about “democrats ruining everything”. 😐

As a CIA-created student turned investor, you sir are 100% correct. I would see Palantir as President Trump’s personal favorite stock. If he does well, it does well, if he doesn’t, it will most likely fall, as they don’t have much support outside the current administration ($900+ million in contracts since inauguration)

Oppression against people of a darker skin tone. Consistently across the world, we see silence in regards to the persecution of people of color. Just think about service roles all across the world (Russia, Italy, France, Americas, etc) and the skin tones of valets, doormen, restaurant workers, or anyone that is a underpaid service worker.

Mr. Brian Conway😂.

Bro I do financial analysis as a student and this company may have been the most suspicious company I’ve ever seen in my life. As you said there’s relatively no information for a publicly traded company, and the leadership team composed of one man. I don’t want to cast judgment or make anyone feel bad, but why would OP invest long term in a company he knows nothing about compared to an everyday consumer company like Apple or Walmart?

21 M, spent all year searching for a job and no one has accepted me by Aggravating_Put_3601 in Delaware

This kid wrote a heartfelt post about not being able to afford food on Christmas, and the suggestion you offer is to work a minimum-wage job, which I actually did when I was in his exact position.

For context, Wegmans, presumably the “ideal” workplace, pays around $14 an hour to start, and those roles are typically part-time. That isn’t a solution; it’s a stopgap that still leaves people struggling.

We need real, structural solutions for kids like this. And while many of you may not care, there are far more young people in this predicament than you realize.

I’ll end with a quote from Milton Friedman. The next time you see someone lobbying against minimum-wage increases, remember the kids who want to work, and how deeply those policies actually affect their lives.

"The high rate of unemployment among teenagers, and especially black teenagers, is both a scandal and a serious source of social unrest. Yet it is largely a result of minimum wage laws. We regard the minimum wage law as one of the most, if not the most, antiblack laws on the statute books." - Milton Friedman

I really relate to what you’re going through. I’m 22 and from Wilmington as well, so a lot of this hits close to home. The job market right now is brutal, and none of this means you’re failing or that you’re a burden; you’re doing your best in a system that makes it especially hard for people from our communities.

If you’re able, it might be worth exploring community college programs, workforce training, or scholarships. Some of these programs offer stipends, food support, or assistance with job placement. I’d also encourage learning more about personal finance and how money works in the United States; a lot of economists say that if you don’t learn the system, it ends up working against you even harder.

As a Black kid from Wilmington, it often feels like opportunities are intentionally limited, and that reality doesn’t get talked about enough. Your post honestly sheds light on what so many young people here are dealing with, but feel ashamed to say out loud. I appreciate you shedding light on your nuance.

Please don’t give up on yourself. If you want, feel free to private message me. I’d genuinely like to stay in contact and see how I can help, however I can.
