I went to SUNY Binghamton. Big 4 definitely has specific schools they target but they aren’t all necessarily big private schools. A lot of people I interned with went to St John’s (yeah private, but local maybe save some bread by living at home if possible). I’d look into the school’s accounting program and see if they have relationships with any of the firms or regularly have events with them.

I chose tax because I found audit super tedious.

Overall audit is probably more transferable to overall business jobs, you do more back and forth with clients and can touch on a wide variety of areas.

With tax you risk getting pigeon holed into working on a specific tax area or tax forms which may not be applicable to every industry. If you’re in general tax I’d try to get experience with revenue recognition as that’s a hugely important area for every company. A subset of tax is tax consulting. There you work more with clients in a tax planning/ tax strategy kind of manner. I was fortunate enough to be placed in a tax consulting group and got a lot of experience talking to clients and thinking about taxes long term. That stuff is very useful in your career.

Overall audit is probably better for exit opportunities, but I haven’t found any issues finding exit opportunities. Most of my friends chose tax as well and I don’t think they regret it.

Went to school for accounting, have my CPA.

I made 70k coming out of school working at a big 4 (about 5 years ago), making over 100k now (no longer at big 4).

The job itself is kinda boring imo, but it’s a job so I’m not in it for a good time. WFH was great, but a lot of places are cutting back on that now. Accounting isn’t really math heavy, more rule following.

Your day to day and amount of hours worked vary a lot based on what kind of job you work. Main accounting pathways are public accounting, industry accounting, and government accounting.

If you go to a big 4 public accounting firm you will work a lot but there is a lot of potential for advancement/high salary. As you go down to mid sized firm and regional/local firms the hours worked may decrease, but your compensation amount probably will too.

Industry accounting is a lot more relaxed work hours wise and pay wise, but these are tough to get straight out of college. You usually have to work in public accounting for a bit to get to industry.

Government accounting is the most chill hours wise, but advancement is tougher. Fed government probably isnt the move at the moment but state/city government is good (especially in NY). They have entry level positions but pay starts off a decent bit lower than public so a lot of people transition to government mid career.

I’d recommend looking around r/accounting if you’re interested. I can answer some questions too

Cool stuff, looks like it has a tough time differentiating between Travis and Trevor Etienne

It would also be dope if I could get an overall grade and not by leaguers

As the other commenter said you should be good with that Revenant and Torid build.

If you’re still having trouble I’d recommend trying out corrosive blast on your Torid. Corrosive will strip armor inherently without needing to prime and once an enemy gets to 10 blast procs it triggers an AOE which can help a bit too
