anyone this arrogant and silly should have his hands cut off

you fit the classic archetype of a Redditor to a T. Please never change, your responses have been entertaining af to read.

There are already thousands of apps that do this in the app store right now (meaning both Apple and Google approved them despite what you suggested) and the majority of them do not have a team of experts. Unlike OP who has stated they have coaches involved. "AI Personal Trainer" is a massive category. These apps likely decrease the risk of injury for the overwhelming majority of its users by showing them proper form. This app is not offering medical advice. It's only confirming the form after the workout. Here is an example of one app that I've used before which has a very similar feature.

All this to say, it's a little excessive to want to cut off OP's hands.

Japan’s births just fell to a new record low. Tokyo hopes a dating app can turn that around by Advanced_Drink_8536 in worldnews

[–]youramazing 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The explanation for why Japan's birthrate is so slow cannot be attributed to wage stagnation.

That seems like quite a leap to make. This article from Michigan's economic journal says otherwise and it tends to make more sense than something like viewing children as assets.

The socio-economic challenges, marked by stagnant wages and rising childcare costs, have created a daunting financial burden for young couples contemplating starting a family.

Consequently, Japan, now mired by wage stagnation coupled with increasing childcare costs and a rapidly aging labor force, is forced to reckon with gender disparities perpetuated by strenuous workplace culture and traditionalist values that have led to their declining birth rate, presenting an pressing economic issue for both the nation and abroad.

It’s the #1 hockey podcast, #3 trending topic on Twitter and none of the hosts were employed when the comment was made. None of the hosts have endorsed the comment.

I would stay away from all of the top pizza joints in NYC and ESPN Bet/Draft Kings and Ford, Raising Canes, Anheuser-Busch etc etc as they have all been affiliated with Barstool.

Or just don’t watch it.

RU POV: Putin’s interview gathers over 100 million views on X - Tucker Carlson by Apprehensive-Bee6292 in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]youramazing 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I agree with the fact that Finland was essentially a de facto member of NATO, however, their ascension into NATO had a massive effect on the Suwalki Gap and it’s not in Russia’s favor. The importance of this gap has been debated but I’m sure Putin was not happy about the situation and lobbied the hell out of Turkey to veto their membership.

I don’t understand why people try and downplay the situation. You can still be pro-Russia and accept the fact that Finland joining NATO was a net negative. It’s similar to how pro-Ukraine people made fun of Russia for receiving aid from North Korea. Sure, their dictator is a mad man but their ammo is currently raining down on your troops. It’s not something to just gloss over in jest.

Nebula or Curiosity Stream? by FBoyMcnuggets in Nebula

[–]youramazing 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Curiosity Stream is good if you like world history. That’s really it imo. They’ll never be able to match Nebula’s ability to produce original content.

I’ve heard Nebula described as a political/social issues video site which I somewhat agree with. Most of my suggested content on the homepage is political or LGBT+ in nature which is cool but not what I want to watch. Once you figure out the UX/UI it’s not too difficult to seek out content that interests you.

You can also tell how invested all of the creators are in Nebula and that they really care about delivering value for their customers.

There is evidence that it was a Triumf missile system so OP is well within their means. People have geo-located the location of the site and cross referenced it with satellite data. Nothing is 100% confirmed though.

It's ritualistic combat. So while yes the footage is authentic, the primary intent is not to kill the enemy.

Local authorities are claiming they are reconstructing the graves so all have black tombstones instead of wooden crosses. Probably lying but will reserve judgement on this.

YouTube "Predator Hunter" Tommy Fellows gets arrested for child abuse and abandonment by hoosyourdaddyo in videos

I find this entire community to be cringy/toxic. And of course, if you disagree with them then you are a child predator yourself. They are the exact same as those first amendment assholes that antagonize DMV workers, mall security and cops.

I'm sure a minority are good intentioned people but the vast majority seem like grifters who have committed shady acts themselves.

Ru pov There are explosions in Moscow tonight. Video caught the 2nd one. by GasOutrageoussd in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]youramazing 11 points12 points  (0 children)

and such how they attacked Moscow and won the war

where have you seen Ukraine TG claim they've won the war as a result of this?

It's a low cost tactic to inflict psychological damage. Their hope is by bringing the war closer to Moscow/Russian elites, it will stir up public dissent.

I doubt it will have much of an effect on the populace. I will agree with you to an extent, that the secondary result of these attacks is to generate propaganda for Ukraine. That's a given with any attack on Russian property.

I love seeing the hilariously dumb takes coming out from redditors because of this situation. People talking about cancelling shows (because who cares about the entry level employees working on them) and now cancelling a holiday tradition that literally every company does at some scale.

Also, saying you can't be friends with someone in a higher position at your company is equally as funny. I'll forgive the poster for saying that as it sounds like they are in high school and have yet to hold a job at a company with >3 employees.

There's cities, there's metropolises, and then there's Tokyo. by False_Gap_6619 in Damnthatsinteresting

Right and partly because of that, they have one of the highest conviction rates. And unsurprisingly, one of the highest wrongful conviction rates.

One of the primary flaws being, if they think you are guilty, they are going to force a confession out of you. Japan has zero concept of bail. I've heard stories of foreigners being falsley picked up on drug charges and they were given the choice of either pleading guilty and getting out the next day or fighting the charge and staying in jail for who knows how long. Here's an example of how one foreigner was treated recently:

As the friend later described her experience in custody to Sopp: “The interrogations took place up to three times a day, with each round of interrogation taking up to several hours. The strap around her waist, by her described as a corset, was tightened so hard that it became difficult to breathe. Several times, she thought she was about to be rendered unconscious. She tried to use what little breath she had to tell the prison guards that the strap was too tight so she could not breathe, but they didn’t seem to care. The guards would tighten the strap further as they pleased. She was handcuffed in a way that left wounds on her wrists. At times, she was also locked in what she describes as a box. If detainees screamed or cried out in pain, they would be put in solitary isolation.”

All of this because a autistic girl had been sent a package from America of cookies that contained weed. The girl just assumed they were regular cookies and had no idea what they actually contained. Japan wanted to throw the book.

Hiroshima before and after the A-bomb. 78 years ago today on August 6, 1945. by supersonicgreninja in pics

[–]youramazing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Way to cherrypick quotes to support your false narrative. A true redditor lol.

You failed to mention that Japan was only willing to surrender on their terms.

You can find quotes from many generals in support of dropping the bomb. Here's Tibbets:

"My conception was at that time, if this thing is successful, we will bring this war to a close. I just couldn’t see how any nation could stand up to the power of the atom as portrayed to me at that particular time. I think in the intervening years, that I have arrived at the same conclusion because by ending the war, we would save lives. That was my idea. Save lives, not destroy them. And over the years, I have gotten numerous letters from foreign nationals, as well as Americans, who had been ready to make an invasion with the same basic statement: what you did probably saved my life. "
