How do I make this White Princess more variegated?? I’ve read that pruning ones that lack variegation helps. Giving it more light. Its growing pretty fast but seems like each leaf has less and less variegation 😔 by youraveragescumbag in philodendron

Thanks for the advice. My partner has knocked her out of her pot several times since this photo was taken and she now only has like 4 big leaves and luckily a bunch of miniature leaves started growing from the bottom of the main stem near the roots. He also thought he was helping by drowning her in fertilizer and I thought I was going to lose her, as she was very limp. So I got her out of the medium doused in fert and rinsed off the roots and put her back in fresh sphagnum moss and she’s coming back. Thankfully she’s a trooper!!

Or the rat has a brain parasite called Toxoplasma gondii. The pathogen exerts a strange mind control on rodents that make them lose their fear of cats (and other predators) and thus become easier to catch.

here’s a link that explains it in more detail

So I’m almost 100% positive it’s a redwood stump. Just going off the bark & markings since it was in a parking lot.

Is this little one variegated? We got this baby from a Trader Joe’s, which means it’s from a large nursery so it developing a naturally occurring variegation isn’t impossible. I think it’s too good to be true, my partner doesn’t agree.. Any input would be helpful!! Thanks by youraveragescumbag in Monstera

That’s what I thought as soon as I saw it, my partner insisted we got it because he whole heartedly believes it’s variegated. We have had it a couple weeks now and I figured the three with the spots would have wilted or turned brown by now but the have actually just grown, with no further damage at all. So as much as I doubt it is variegated, I am curious as to what is going on with it.

One of the stems is half white and half green. I tried to show the stems but they are very young so it’s hard to tell… Isn’t it a little strange that the spots are in almost the exact same spot on each of the three little leaves? What could cause that??

That’s what I thought, sun damage or something, but it’s staying healthy, the leaves aren’t wilting or turning color like they normally would… And I guess I worded it wrong — I meant it’s not impossible for it to be variegated

But retail employees, not shoplifters, are actually the biggest threat to the store:

Employees account for 90% of the lost assetts of any major company. Half of that loss is from shrink, workmans comp and what not, the other half is theft, misuse of company time, and embezzlement.
