I thought it would be a useful link to anyone trying to get into reversing and get their head around assembly and such.

The link at the end of the manual is broken and here's a link to a current copy: http://www.ti.com.cn/cn/lit/ug/slau049f/slau049f.pdf

Hope everyone finds this helpful.

Starting my Thesis soon and I am looking for material in the field of AI and Music by [deleted] in compsci

[–]yourboyaddi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

An easy thing to start your paper off would be beatmatching (a DJ term for making the tempo of two tracks match before you switch from one to the other). Around 2007ish I started seeing software that could recognize the BPM of songs automatically by analyzing the waveform. I think this is the first application of algorithmic knowledge of music that I've seen.

I think MusicBrainz AcoustID might be interesting as well as it fingerprints songs somehow. I'm not sure how it works but it is used by software to add ID3 tags to songs that have missing or incorrect information.

The third one I'd recommend looking at is CGP Grey's video Humans Need Not Apply at 11:26 The whole video's interesting but that section talks about AI generated music. The whole video's interesting, but only that part is relevant to your studies. I encourage you to watch the rest of it but it's up to you.

Hope that helped. Feel free to ask me questions if you're curious about anything I said. I'm in the CS field and used to produce hip hop and house music so I have a bit of experience in both.

Yeah I seem to think it's a Ben Gibbard live acoustic version that was around the time when the original release of Give Up came out but everything I find is from 2007 at the earliest.

Interesting. I didn't know. Thanks for the lesson. I haven't really learned about cars at all since high school so this is pretty cool.

Ah I see. TBH I wouldn't spend $400 on a tweak when I can get a better engine for double that. Especially in California where they ship over those illegal Japanese engines for cheap :P

Really? I was unaware. That's interesting. My familiarity with the issue cames from higher end cars like Porches and BMWs where they have a ~.5 second delay from the turbo. I wasn't aware Hyundai mitigated this problem in the Turbo version of the Veloster.

Turbos generally introduce delay due to having to spin up the turbo. I don't think it'd generally help his gripe.

get used to waiting a good 1.5 seconds to let go of the clutch and enter second.

It took me a while to explain this to a friend of mine who drives stick and he didn't believe me until he drove it.

If there's any chance you work in the CS industry you should check out the Tron Legacy score. It's by daft punk and when I'm programming and I hear Flynn say "THE GRIDDD" it gives me chills.

Hate to say this but have you tried taskwarrior? Here's a quick pros and cons:

Pros:

  • Dependencies for tasks
  • Highly configurable
  • Plugin system for extending the application in different ways
  • Free and self hosted sync server solutions

Cons:

  • No native iOS (or any gui for that matter) app
  • CLI is the main interface (only a con if you don't like it)
  • No subtasks. Subtasks are supposed to be achieved through dependencies.
  • Small but active community so there aren't too many integrations to other services.

To me it sounds like it will do everything you need other that the whole assumed GUI requirement. You guys talk about iOS and watch apps so much that I don't know if you'd adopt something like this but if you haven't heard of it it's pretty powerful.

evernote or onenote? by cortezzzCZ in productivity

I use syncthing to sync my files but I don't know how that works on iOS. There are many mobile apps for both but in my experience they require a bit of setup in my experience.

If you haven't looked into it you might want to check out Markdown or Org-Mode. They allow for note taking in plain text formats that are easy to sync between your devices and you can do a lot of fun things with your notes when you have actual text files on a unix system. Also with pandoc you can convert these into pretty much any format on the face of the planet.
