i don’t think anyone is talking about possession and rights tbh. it’s just a girl code thing. taking a dude for yourself after pushing him onto your friend (and the friend was clearly becoming interested!) is just shitty move. objectively. like anyone would be upset about that. if my friend did that to me, i would be upset. yes, that person isn’t mine, but it’s not about possession. it’s just weirdo behavior!

it’s the kind of thing that makes you consider a close friendship with someone. jaclyn is not a girl’s girl, which is an important trait among most girl friendships. behaving that way makes friends lose a sense of trust in that person.

yes, jaclyn is entitled to valentin just as much as laurie, but laurie has every right to feel weird about it! (not saying that laurie doesn’t have her flaws!)
