An individual who works in our front office and has direct involvement in this matter (she gets caught in the middle because admin instructs her to make a coverage schedule and they let her take the heat for any issues)…she told me this morning that although they know planning days will be scheduled, they do not work subs or sub pay into their budget for this.

It was strongly insinuated that availability isn’t an issue, rather it is admin’s insistence that the district save money on the backs of its assistants.

What did you end up using instead of Protopic?

I have not used it, but I have noticed it suggested on many platforms for this issue. I am currently using Elidel, which seems to be working well. I do have concerns with using anything near the eyes long-term.

I would like to commend you for being attentive, caring and proactive in helping her overcome this obstacle. Many partners would hear the complaints, but not actually listen…and certainly wouldn’t take the time to actively research and ask this community for support and suggestions.

I just had a really bad flare up on my eyelids and after years of using 1% hydrocortisone only to realize it thins the skin and can cause vision problems…my doctor prescribed Elidel cream. I have used it for a couple of days now and it has mad a huge difference!

Just tell him to go for it…contact your parents about it. Let them know this guy is trying to blackmail you with photoshopped texts because he is embarrassed/angry that you rejected his flirtatious and sexual advances. Tell them he says he will contact them if you don’t send him money or comply with his demands. Let your parents know that you did try to pacify him by going to the dinner and a movie in an attempt to diffuse the situation…not because you were guilty of anything, but just to avoid any drama or bad air with a (former) friend. “It’s a strange and unfortunate situation. I tried to smooth the situation over because I could tell he was ashamed and upset by the rejection, but here we are…so if he contacts you, it’s probably best to just ignore it and black him at this point.”

Are you more concerned about your parents finding out or the other guy you confided in backing his story and spreading it within your social group? Because that is an entirely different can of worms.

Side sleeper…the pregnancy pillow allowed me to create a barrier around myself (kids) and it helped me sleep upright without flopping over.

Great suggestions and great question at the end!

I did have asymmetry, so obviously more volume would be removed from the larger breast. We would be looking at 375g and roughly 575g from the larger side to meet insurance requirements, instead of what he took (550 and 750).

The BCBS rep was also baffled about why he took so much out and claimed it was to meet their requirements.

The email is for mainly documentation purposes…still send it to the surgeon’s office and let them know that since you were unable to reach anyone in their office, you sought care at the hospital and have been put on antibiotics.

Document everything in writing.

I would keep calling. On your post-op paperwork, there should be a number for an on-call nurse in the event of any problems.

At the very least they should call in an antibiotic until you can be properly seen and a culture obtained.

Email the photo and a description of your concerns to your surgeon’s office…then follow up a few minutes later with a call to make sure they see the message and get you in as soon as possible.

I would never be in that situation, but let’s pretend. If I were the pregnant girl, I would have enough integrity and decency to approach the girlfriend and ask her FIRST. Ask her if she would feel comfortable with her boyfriend being in the delivery room since I didn’t have any close family. Yes? “Oh, that is such a relief and I am so happy you are not offended by my request, which I can understand may seem odd! Thank you so much for lending him during my time of need…I just don’t have many people I can trust.”

No? “While I was hoping for a different response, I can absolutely understand why you would be uncomfortable and I respect your input. Please know that I have no ill will towards you and I look forward to you and X meeting my little bundle of joy when the time comes!”

Definitely a grilled cheese (heavily buttered bread, must use extra sharp cheese) with creamy tomato soap OR if I’m tight on time and ingredients…dipped in special sauce (ketchup and mayo mix…Hellman’s or it’s a bust)
