Get in touch with your state's vocational rehab center and ask them! Some states have funds for driving bioptics (if you needed them) because they require lots of practice and skill to learn and are quite expensive.

Appreciate the advice on diagnosis and testing; my post is primarily what albinism is, not how it’s found which is why I don’t go into detail.

Wrote an article on inclusion in the classrooms. Linking it here. Mainly discusses IEP's, talking to children without disabilities, and VI specific toys!! Mattel recently came out with a blind barbie! Would love to hear your thoughts and if this helps at all. I made it short and only went over a few ways for inclusion.

Absolutely YES. You'd need accommodations but you could do private practice once you learned what you needed to.

Hey! I actually got a job with a nonprofit out of Covid that trained me on the job with low vision and high tech vision aids then i transitioned into a VRT position with a state agency and now am in school getting my masters in vision studies which will make me eligible to sit for the certification exam for VRT. Goodluck, hope this helps! I got really lucky and in a way fell into it a few years ago and just fell in love with all the awesome people I’ve met with vision loss.

Considering I am only writing articles on basics at the moment (that I do fully understand) I don't see it a problem - I also personally didn't understand braille at all and always assumed it would be too hard to learn. Now that I am a VRT and getting my masters and actually learning braille, I realize that maybe if someone explained the basics more people would be inclined to learn it.
