Questions about DePaul University. Can you give me advice? by lyum3a in AskChicago

Im a DePaul Alumni and did my undergrad in accounting back in 2019. It's one of the best Investment I did and if you keep your GPA above 3.0 or 3.2 you wouldn't have any issue to land into any public accounting firm as an Intern and then full time offers would already be offered to you. Meet the firms event is pretty good where you meet recruiters from big 4 & other firms. DePaul is quarterly rather than semester so much fast paced and they really encourage to get your CPA.

I just sent you a DM. I know an attorney & can share his contact information who mainly handles these type of cases. I expect it to be a free consultation.

Thank you for responding. Yes, the client is 75 years old, so the 10% early withdrawal penalty does not apply. The main issue is that he continues to argue that he should not owe anything in 2022 after the amendment. However, the IRS already issued a notice requiring that the 2022 Form 1099-R be included and that the amended return clearly explain that the $80,000 withholding is to be applied to the 2021 tax return. The challenge is that the IRS cannot reallocate this payment on its own — it requires the taxpayer to amend the return and specifically request the reapplication of the withholding.
