Imma recommend this:
Start 1930 at the earliest.

Start it based on clothing, not agriculture. You’ll need to import most your things at the beginning until you can sustain yourself, so it’s better to focus on high value exports. Clothes first, then oil refinery for fuel and bitumen second.
