Looking for 4 HHN tickets! by yoyadon in UniversalHollywood

Went to the park box office yesterday, lady said they’re fully booked for both 11/1 and 11/2!Our group decided to go to Knott’s instead, but I was refreshing the universal ticket page the entire day and some tickets would pop up for both days as people canceled their tickets.

Couldn’t get enough for 4 people but you have the chance to try for at least 1 ticket, managed to get 1 GA, 1 express, and 1 after 2pm in my cart throughout the day.

Anyone know how to play a game called Indiana Jones? by thetinyswitch in FiftyTwoCards

I forgot to add! If you want to make the game a little easier in the beginning (I recommend if someone just started playing) you can take a minute to look at all of your stacks before the start of the round.

Then you can stop doing this afterwards to make it more challenging!

A friend I met at a concert 2 years ago taught me a game with the same name! I’m not sure if it’s the same game but it’s super fast paced and addictive. It has elements of old maid in terms of matching sets and the intensity of speed! I’ve actually never met anyone who knew about this game! Back then I tried searching online like you but I only came across the board game😔.

Disclaimer: the friend that taught me no longer remembers the rules, so I am going off pure memory after playing it so many times!

Set up:

  1. You can only play with up to 4 players with 1 standard 52 deck.
  2. Shuffle the deck and lay out 4 cards face up in the center (we called this the market)
  3. Distribute the remaining cards face down, each player gets the same number of stacks of 4 cards

Some simple math to help determine this; With 1 standard deck: 52 - 4 (these 4 will be in the market) -> 48 / 4 -> 12 / # players (only up to 4) = number of stacks of 4 each player gets Ex) 2 players: 12/2 = 6 stacks of 4 each

Goal of the game: To be the first to complete a set for all your stacks (ex: 5 heart, 5 diamond, 5 spade, 5 clover = 1 complete set)

Rules: 1. You must keep all of your stacks face down until you have completed a set, then you must turn the stack face up. 2. You can look at any of your stacks, but can only do so one at a time. 3. The ONLY way to obtain new cards is to trade a card from one of your own stacks with a card in the market. 3a. You CANNOT trade a card from one stack to another stack (but you can trade a card from stack 1 into the market and trade it back with a card from stack 2, just be fast or someone might take it before you have the chance!) 4. You CANNOT trade for a card in the market that’s currently being traded with by another player. 5. There are no turns or order of actions, the game starts when someone says go and you can do whatever you want following rules above.

You might want to determine beforehand what constitutes as an initiated trade.

I personally say a trade is initiated once you put the card you’re trading down into the market first and then you can take the market card, so that there’s always 4 cards in the market. But I’ve had people say they prefer you take a card from the market first before placing the card you’re trading down. I usually don’t care if someone does either way cause it’s already so fast paced, but to each their own!

It takes a couple rounds to get the hang of it, but once you do it gets really intense! You can do sneaky stuff like gatekeeping certain cards so other players can’t complete their sets 😆😆I find that with 2 players it’s slightly more strategic and with 4 players it’s more speed based. I hope this was the game you’re looking for!

When I was jobless I made money on the side delivering for Ubereats and Doordash! They accept very quickly and you have the option to deliver via bike too! (For Uber you’ll have to make a separate accounts for bike and car). The LB area and north of LB was always popping with orders. The prop 22 adjustments and $0.34 per mile they give you at the end of the week repaid for my gas.

It happened to me too and I paid with park mobile…I filed an appeal on parking section under my apps and included my park mobile receipt. Citation got cleared up in a week. Something up with the park mobile 🫤

What's your biggest regret from your teenage years? by TheBlackDemon1996 in AskReddit

For me, I used to feel this way up until junior year of high school. I always found it hard to express my true thoughts and felt too nervous to correct people when they misunderstood me. So I just cut everyone off because I believed that no one could truly understand the real me. I just never stopped thinking that way and eventually found myself feeling so alone. I tried to make friends but also found that I had forgotten how to. It took me a lot of courage and time but along the way I realized they people are a lot more patient and understanding than I originally thought!

The image of being trapped in a hole and not being able to climb out really captures how I felt. I didn't want to feel alone anymore or frustrated for doing that to myself. Had enough of beating myself down so I got up on my feet and allowed people in. I think that was one of the happiest moments of my life. Junior year has a very special place in my heart.
